3D printer is scheduled to arrive somewhere in december, looking forward. Already found quite a lot on thingify that could be used for terrain
Edited by MasterZelgadisJohnny's Legion Terrain: More Imperial Terrain
I talked about wanting to copy the Tarkin Town sheds seen on Rebels on another thread some days ago.

Well, I did... Ghostofman's brilliant papercraft model of the exact same shed sped up the project significantly. I can really recommend his work! If you're looking for some Star Wars style on your wargaming table, his model(s) will do the job.
I walked the extra mile and further detailed his model by adding physical detail and a custom paintjob: https://finiatures.blogspot.de/2017/09/star-wars-legion-imperial-style-shed.html

Soon!
I'm working on another building (Well, I'm not working on it... Otherwise it would have been finished days ago...) and a couple of crates and boxes. Once these are finished, I'm more or less done with this table...

What's your overall amount of terrain you'll have for a table?

Depends on the size of the pieces and the kind of terrain you have in mind... Tatooine will always look quite empty compared to an Endor setting. As I said, right now my plan is to finish one more building before I consider this table "finished". I have no idea if my terrain will work for the Legion rule set but this is something I'm prepared for.
If you build your own table, have in mind that miniatures move in squads and vehicles will need some space to maneuvre as well.
I just finished some small bits and pieces to fill the board with: http://finiatures.blogspot.de/2017/09/star-wars-legion-crates-and-statues.html
The boxes will provide some nice cover and the fallen statue might count as rough terrain. Nothing spectacular but a quite useful addition to the board, I hope.

Another addition to the board: Moisture Vaporators by Imperial Terrain
Moisture Vaporators are like the Jack of all trades of Star Wars terrain... You will find them on every second backwater planet.

Did you rescale the vaporators? the stl file comes pretty big if I am not wrong

No, I didn't. These come directly from Imperial Terrain.
With Legion finally launched I had to get my table ready for some games and finished this Imperial Terrain piece that has been sitting here for way too long: https://finiatures.blogspot.de/2018/03/imperial-terrain-small-desert-home.html
I was a bit worried the 3D printed terrain wouldn't fit in with the general style of my buildings but my suspicions were unfounded. Prepping and painting this piece was a blast and I'm very happy with how it blends in with the rest of my terrain.

Hehe, fantasywelt.de ![]()
I like that barrier with the anti-stormtrooper graffiti.
@Ailowynn Yes, first pieces from the Core Set have been painted too:

As simple as they are, I like them a lot. It's really nice that they are part of the Core Set. They will be a great starting point for many people's boards.
@MasterZelgadis They still owe me my T-47... Hasn't shipped yet... ![]()
yeah i am glad they gave us barricades. Its one of the things that every board needs but nobody likes to build since theyre so "simple" yet difficult to make (concept is simple, making them interesting isnt)

Mine, too. After asking them, they said, that there are no Speeders anymore, they are waiting for reprints ![]()
Did you paint the emblems free-handed? They are awesome
Edited by MasterZelgadisPure genius, I love your terrain!
Great work. Very inspiring.
@JohnnyTrash I notice you have some German newspapers covering your work surface, can you tell me what I am looking for for acrylic sealant in Germany? Any brands/sources?
This terrain is absolutely amazing, I fully intend to steal those Lothal/MacQuarrie 'mountains' for my own table!

Cheapest you can get... ![]()
In English it's known as acrylic caulk or arcylic sealant, in German it's Acryl Dichtmasse, Fugenacryl or Maleracryl.
Can be found at any building supplies store/Baumarkt.
Edited by JohnnyTrashI finished two more Imperial Terrain buidings a couple of days ago. The Desert Tower had been collecting dust for almost a year now and it was about time I brought it to life...

With those newest additions my board starts looking the part:

As always, more pics here: https://finiatures.blogspot.com/2018/09/imperial-terrain-desert-tower-and.html
