But the question is what are your feelings on turrets dominating the game and all but removing primary arcs?

I <3 my falcon? Maybe people shouldn't expect competitive play to equal cinematic play? I understand the TLT hate, that's almost another discussion. Also, I <3 my autothrusters.

And it'll be interesting to see what 5 cartel mauraders do.

Again, we've been down the path of this discussion many times before. The Falcon did come out in wave two after all, and the first turret upgrade in wave one. Just wait, there will be something new to hate shortly.

You're exactly right. Furthermore, turrets have nothing to do with FFG resigning the game. I wonder how much longer they will be silent.

I'll be honest, by now the pause between news and FAQs seems a little unnatural. However, this may just as well point towards FFG taking the time to properly evaluate what to do next, something they appeared to do the exact opposite of just over a month ago when announcing Waves 12 and 13 back to back.

Frankly, I believe it was inevitable for the X-Wing devs to take longer and longer for each release, as well as reworking old sets more often. If anything, this points towards them settling in to provide support for the really long con a la 40k, not them "cancelling" it. and we should be grateful this does not mean rebooting every other year.

Oh the fabled "The End is Near" thread, how I have missed thee so.

Short of getting the license pulled, I can't imagine a popular Star Wars game ending while a well-received series is continuing and several highly anticipated movies are upcoming.

Less Regionals and at smaller venues.

Just saying.

And the pulling of the license is unlikely with Legion in the wings.

But this is the first time that the basic game fundamentals that got us all hooked into a game we love have been basically pushed aside; arced ships piloted about the mat and dials that are secret until revealed.

If you would answer this to people pointing out that people called swarms OP before, so this new fat turret + phantoms are different .... you would have had a point.

Today? A few years too late.

One less regional total and a few forum randos are complaining about one or two smaller stores hosting. So the end is definitely nigh and it's obviously because FFG wouldn't seriously consider the "balance" demands we meme'd at them. Just saying tho.
