Not enough dice, classic FFG.

By Drjacobs, in Star Wars: Legion

I've mostly bought the Star Wars RPG. Listing what I've bought by their store value (rounding up):

  • All three core rulebooks: $180 value ($60 a piece)
  • All 14 of the released career books: $420 value ($30 a piece)
  • All 4 location books: $160 ($40 a piece)
  • All released adventure modules: $180 ($30 a piece)
  • The useful accessory card decks: $56 ($7 a piece)
  • All three Game Master kits: $90 ($30 a piece)
  • Three of four beginner games (which includes a full set of dice in each): $90 ($30 a piece)
  • Three or four sets of dice: $45-$60 ($15 a piece)
  • Star Wars dice app: $5 (I think)

Granted, this doesn't account for shipping, nor the fact that I bought from different sources, so I didn't always pay the price listed on FFG's store, nor tax. So that total value, give or take.

While the dice may be more expensive then necessary, I don't quite believe complaints that FFG makes all their money on gimmick dice, or their games are just gimmicks to sell dice.
