I have an Original Trilogy tournament coming up and to be honest, I am not sure what I am going to be up against. Any advice or thoughts on what lists may be popular?
Rebel Tie is legal. All Upgrades are legal.

- Howlrunner and crackswarm will be there.
- Also expect Biggs with various escorts.
- If special edition is allowed Dash will be there...
- Is TLT allowed? If yes, then expect lots of it
- expect a lot of fun lists
I'll be running a Biggs and friends list. No Dash and I am just hoping for only a few 4 TLT Y-Wing Lists. I've run te numbers and my list can't handle them lol
Yeah it might be worth talking to the event organizer and discussing TLT being either unique or banned as it makes the format much less fun. this of course is directly related to the number of players in your area that might actually play the list of course but it only takes 1 quad Y-Wing TLT squad to take the crown to leave a sour taste in the mouth.
as for lists, this is the one format where bombers en masse is potentially viable, that's my pick, not terribly effective as Fat Han or Fat Rey are also a problem in this tournament structure, but still good all the same.
Also if you do manage to get TLT booted, play Soontir Fel!!!!

I THINK we will be fine with TLT. Most the locals won't run it (Can't speak for others). I'm really looking forward to it. I have been making a list with the OT theme for a while. I have Wedge in my squadron so I am not expected to come back with a tournament win. I thought about taking an old Fat HAN list but I just want to have some fun and fly a list with X-Wings in it.
I am TIE swarm Bane! lol
If you expect TLTs then make them cry with a Wedge modded like this:
Wedge Antilles + Intensity + R7-T1 + Integrated Astromech
Only 34 points, you do 3 actions and get at r1. ![]()

OOOOOOO I like. I've been running r2 Astro + VT + Expertise. Switching to yours and maybe keeping Expertise would give me an extra haul
Expertise not bad on him but Intensity can give you an evade action. ![]()

I need to get more practice with it. I have had a ton of success with Poe but I really struggle with refreshing intensity.

I don't have any direct experience myself, but I hear that Fat Han + Jake is a force to be reckoned with at these events.

Are you doing hit and run attacks? Thats probably the best way to use intensity, get at r1 attack, reveal 4 straight focus try to refresh intensity and come around for another strafing round.

If you really want to prove a point, R7-T1 and Intensity even lets you one-action an Advanced Proton Torpedo without stressing yourself...

Yeah, the classic use of R7-T1, still Wedge at 40 points for a one off trick is not something you would take at a tournament. Fun for casual play though!
Run Luke, Wedge, Biggs. Fun, thematic and competitive.
Luke (28): Draw their Fire (1), R2-D2 (4), IA (0). Can also be exchanged for Wes Janson (29): Snapshot (2)/VI (2), R3-A2 (2)/R2-D2 (4), IA (0).
Wedge (29): Expertise (4), R7-T1 (3), IA (0).
Biggs (25): R4-D6 (1), IA (0).
This gives you a 3-5 points initiative bid, that you will definitely need. ![]()
I have one coming up on Sunday but Palp and TLT are banned. All other upgrades are allowed. We have to have 2 lists; one rebel and one imperial.
I'm thinking this:
http://xwing-builder.co.uk/view/748837/fistful-ot-rebels
And this:
Troll them with Scum:
OT SCUM
100 points
PILOTS
Boba Fett (58)
Firespray-31 (39), Expertise (4), Cad Bane (2), Cruise Missiles (3), “Hot Shot” Blaster (3), Engine Upgrade (4), Bomblet Generator (3)
Kavil (42)
Y-Wing (24), Bomb Loadout (0), Extra Munitions (2), Twin Laser Turret (6), Unhinged Astromech (1), Expertise (4), Vectored Thrusters (2), Proximity Mines (3)

The problem for Fat Han is the crack swarms. They don't care about the evade. At our original trilogy event it was a very short match.
Plan for Han and Crackswarms and all will be well. We had a mini one at our club and I went 3-0 with a triple TIE Bomber list of all things
We permitted any upgrades plus pilots/crew of any ship that appeared in the original release OT (no Dash). Technically Rey would've been permitted but there is a certain circle of **** reserved for anyone who takes her to an OT tournament! I've seen stricter ones advertised where they only permit upgrades released in ships that were in the OT so make sure of the tournament rules before you go!
