It is not going to be either destiny or x-wing. They very clearly said it was something new.
I have a firm reason to believe that it is not an X-Wing product and is, instead, for Destiny.

They said it's a new product. Previously not released X-wing or Destiny stuff is as much a new product as a new game.
You can look at FFGs own Upcoming Product list to see what they consider a product.

You can also read the wording where they say a new product and then immediately list destiny and xwing as "products".
Or you can go to the Force Friday page on starwars.com where they say new game.

It would be cool if it was something like X-Wing scale Ground Forces. Like a starter set with a snowspeeder and 2 ATSTs in 1/270 scale.

We might still get some TLJ-related announcements... The StarWars.com text says "new Star Wars game s " and has some generic stuff about enjoying thrilling adventures with the existing ones.

It never made any sense that it would be ships. However, with the day of hype and all the teaser merch coming out together it is likely that FFG will then have the go ahead to announce and show off any TLJ ships they have planned.
