It could maybe be some kind of stripped-down 2-ship 'intro' core set to X-Wing, but not anything else. It ha s to be a standalone thing, whatever it is, given the requirement that stores buy it blind without any information on what existing products it may or may not require.

Sure they can. They promise its board game related from FFG and for Star Wars, after that its buyer beware. Stores aren't being strong armed into buying or they will cut their service, so if you are smaller and are afraid it won't sell don't buy. But you may miss out on the hype train. Risk vs. Reward seems totally fine.

So... what shop is opening earliest on Friday? My FLGS won't open until noon Eastern. Any game shops in Newfoundland?

My local store was going to stay open late on Thursday and sell the product after midnight. Plans changed when they were told it wouldn't be delivered until Friday.

any new intel on Force Friday stuff and what FLGS secret squirrel stuff they might have???

was thinking it might be new game mats, but the 1.5 pound weight kills that... A new matt would be good for both Armada AND X wing... probably just some alt art cards.... however would be cool if it was an alt art ship!! but I doubt it...

I'm going to a lake house over the weekend so I won't know if the new products play well until Tuesday. Oh well. Worth it for an 800-point epic game!

My FLGS told me that it was a new destiny starter. They did also say they didn't know what they were buying when they placed the order and that the rep told them it swas something 'mildly cool'.

I mean, I'm sure there will be a TIE/VN and Resistance A-Wing coming soon, but that does not mean that Friday's mystery product is a pack with those ships. Though, it's not a Destiny Starter either.

They have already said that it is a new game. (probably something standalone)

The release for Force Friday is going to be y-wing. Apparently we've been playing the female version; [chromosome] x-wing :).

From what people are saying it seems to be Canada and US at the very least. If it is not in Canada, it is easy for me to just drive across the border lol .. Would suck if it isn't in the European market as well.

Last Force Friday was the TFA starter in US only big box stores. Then two weeks later we had them in Canada at our FLGS'

Destiny and XW are both currently showing gaps in their SKU numbers. Perhaps both games get something announced tonight at midnight.
