I was playing the "classic" Worlds winning Dengar/Tel list the other day, and I started wondering if Tel would be better served with a Proton Torpedo instead of a Plasma Torp. Yes, you do have 1 point less for an initiative bid (99 instead of 98), but you might have a better alpha strike if both Dengar and Tel happen to be striking the same target (as they should be). So, Dengar hits first with a Plasma Torp, stripping shields and then Tel hits with a Proton Torp getting a crit through probably. There is also a good chance Tel gets to keep her focus token for defense (since you can convert one focus with the Proton), and Dengar keeps his focus for defense because of Expertise. When the second round of torps comes around there is a good chance most ships will be stripped of shields so Protons will be better than Plasmas, so Tel will benefit in the endgame too.
