My brother got so mad at green dice that he just started rolling one over and over to get an evade.

Blank came up 9 times in a row.

He tried to make an attack against my Defender.

He couldn't touch it. Even after 6 attempts.

The first time I tried Sabine (TIE) with Lone Wolf, Finn, Cloaking Device, and Stygium Particle Accelerator, I got shot at range 3.

Only 2 hits.

I've got 3+1+1+2=7 greens and an evade. No focus.

I take 1 damage.

Always bring a focus.

Awhile ago I was at a local game night tournament playing a casual triple A-Wing list. I was facing an opponent with 4 B-Wings and a Z-95. Time was almost up, I positioned Psycho Tycho on a B-Wing which I needed to take out in order to win on points. Tycho was down to one health, I had to use a focus and target lock in order to kill the B-Wing with my dice roll, I ended up killing it. Unfortunately, Tycho was still in arc of one B-Wing which they got 3 hits on me. I had no additional modifiers and I joking stated that I'll be rolling 3 natural evades and I won the game. Tycho lived and I had mixed feelings from elation to feeling bad for my opponent to lose the game that way.

I had my two A-wing with evade tokens one shotted in the same round of combat to defenders. I haven't received that kinda green dice betrayal in a very long time. I actually rolled maybe four evade results the whole game. Grrrrr

Goddamn tokenless Sunny Bounder dodged my cruise missile by rolling 3 naturals and adding a 4th.

I could sooner tell the tale of every insect, worm and microbe to have ever been spawned and ti have ever perished upon our gentle earth

After using Lando and getting unsatisfactory results a couple of times in a row, my brother jokingly suggested that Lando roll all 9 of our dice, and proceeded to demonstrate - with a straight 9 blanks!

I fell your pain. On the weekend, I had three consecutive triple-blank rolls on my focused TIE/D. He went from full HP to dead in a single turn

Sometimes I roll just one, after announcing zero via C3PO to get an evade.

First of all I must say that I Love Reds vs Greens mechanic. Intuitive, fast and works OK if you play "simple" few or no combo squads. Many many jokes about this of course. I will just remember here two anecdotes about M3A Inaldra, quite recent ship. This pilot (he/she?) can trade one shield to reroll the number of dices you want. Interesting with the Pulse Ray Shield of course and in my opinion one good example of new game mechanics.

Testing C ROC new pilots prior to release...120 pts game on a 4×4 Mat. Very casual. Soccer on tv, beer, etc. Juno fires vs Inaldra. Main armament, ATC. R3 plus Obstruction. Juno rolls two Hits (unable to remember if Boooms or Kabooooms). So 5 Greens. Focus Token on Inaldra. One eye 4 blanks. Reroll 4 blanks ...Shield gone. 4 blanks again. So Inaldra down to 1 Hull and under a Crit (PS 0).

600 pts Double Epic Team play. First big play involving 2 C ROCS and quite excited about this. One Golden Torpedo equiped Y Wing down to 4 Hulls ready to launch vs a no shields C ROC. Inaldra with a Mango shooting vs the Y Wing from close range. Inaldra expended her Evade token to dodge one Nasty X Wing Hero after Outmaneuver attack against her six. Roll 3 Reds, all eyes and blanks. Shield down... Good Luck. After Mango mods one Hit and two Crits. Y wing down.

I like Reds vs Greens. Of course if you travel 2000 kmts to play during big Tournament bad greens can ruin your weekend. But playin casual and friendly I like this simple mechanic. Good Luck...open a beer. Bad Luck...open a beer.

A-Wing, R3 through an obstacle with a focus token.

Hit-Hit-Crit. 5 blanks. No Autothrusters at the time.

Why didn't I take the evade token? Why does an evil shaman type person put all of my Direct Hits on top of my deck?

Omega leader range 3 obstructed with a stealth device and an evade token target locked on the attacker...........i take 1 damage

When your TIE has just one health remaining, and you've just taken three hits from a smug-looking oppononent, roll your defense dice one at a time.

TIE Interceptor vs CR90 primary at range 4 through a rock. Two hits rolled... 5 green dice... all were focus results and no focus token!

OL Range 3, has weapons failure crit, is attacking my A-Wing @ R3. OL rolls a Crit, A-Wing is shields down and I have a focus token. I roll 4 blanks. Crit gets through, MAjor explosion, damage. bye bye A-Wing

Anakin: "I hate green dice. They're weak and useless, they never work."

Green dice tend to give you all of the evades when only one or two are needed (especially when you have an evade token already), but tend to be Blank City when you need at least one to stay alive (and you're rolling 3-4 of the bastards).

i think its hilarious when both sides have 2+ agi ships and both sides are rolling evades like nobody's business.

One such tournament match went that way. Practically the only damage was a 5die cruise missile, bombs, or the very rare single damage that went through. Heck both of us had MULTIPLE 5die Sabaac attacks, and each of us actually did damage with it once...as in 1 damage...lol

Funny you say that, there was a Jax in that game with the usual interceptor build. Caught him at R2 with vader's cruise missile and he went poof.
That was literally the only attack the ENTIRE GAME that did more than 1 damage rofl. Either red dice kept flopping or green dice never failed (except that attack)
And we both had Deathrain. So you can imagine how long that game took...
