Serious Question: Have Bombs Made the Game more boring?

Are bombs considered and action, primary attack or an added value to the bomber to drop, move and then fire? Please advise

Bombs can either be an action or something that happens when you move. They can occur in addition to your normal weapon fire.

And they will declare this on the card?

I see it now, when you reveal a maneuver...or Action...Thank you

A lot of people here have mentioned positioning as a good thing about bombs. However, that's exactly why I hate them.

From the beginning, X-wing was a game where the ideal position was behind your opponent. That fits the movies (seriously, how many spaceship kills in the movies are NOT from directly behind, it's about 10%), fits the theme (ww2-inspired dogfights with agile small spaceships using guns), and makes for a good challenge. Turrets messed that up a lot, but some effort was put to encouraging people to be in-arc (Rey, all the 'in-arc' upgrade cards, etc), but for most ships, and even missiles & torps, being in-arc, preferably out of their arc, is where you want to be.

Then you have bombs, which take that and turn it completely upside down. Suddenly being behind your enemy is the worst place to be.
