A friend of mine turned me on to a slightly cheaper version of QD that still performs very well- Intensity, Primed Thrusters, FCS, Title, and LWF (36). I've been trying to figure out a decent way to fly Aggressors next to QD but I couldn't find a good way to do it- then I saw someone playing a Synched Turret/Unguided Rockets Double Edge last week. It immediately got me thinking about using Ion Cannon Turret instead(because Synched Turret is only good with FCS). This is what I came up with:
DOUBLE EDGE
98 points
PILOTS
“Quickdraw” (36)
Special Forces TIE (29), Intensity (2), Fire-Control System (2), Primed Thrusters (1), Special Ops Training (0), Lightweight Frame (2)
“Double Edge” (31)
TIE Aggressor (19), Ruthlessness (3), Unguided Rockets (2), Ion Cannon Turret (5), Lightweight Frame (2)
Omicron Group Pilot (31)
Lambda-Class Shuttle (21), Collision Detector (0), Emperor Palpatine (8), Anti-Pursuit Lasers (2)
=================================
You have the obvious Palpatine+LWF synergies to improve the defense of the SF and Aggressor then you have the ability to Ion control low agility opponents into the APL on the OGP. You also have Ruthlessness to break up Biggs-based squads or help trigger your own QD occasionally. Any critiques? Might we be better off adding FCS to OGP to increase the offensive output/mess with opposing target priority? Or maybe drop APL to add a Cruise Missile to QD? Keep the 2 point bid to move after Dengar?
