What sort of dial and stats would Skippy have?
Alternately, for those who want the gods to bless their winter sports, the Ski-Pray.

All this time I read Skip-ray and never thought of ski-pray.
Each to their own, I'll continue to call it Skippy. Should FFG make the Skippy, I'll paint/sharpie the image of a Kangaroo on each one I get.
I might be the odd man out but I really don't want this for Empire, it's asthetic doesn't match anything else they have.

That's actually a plus for me. Also, considering there's not really something in that asthetic that can fit the role the Blastboat can, it may be time to sacrifice asthetic for practicality.

A matching asthetic is the Empire's defining feature though. Rebels and Scum are supposed to be rag tag and miss matched while the Empire is uniform and monolithic.

Well, it was designed before the Clone Wars, so before the TIE aesthetic came into vogue. It does kinda fit in with the early ships the Empire used, like the V-Wing and the ARC. Also, it is in a ship category that is largely blank in the Imperial Navy. There is the Decimator that's in that kind of size category and purpose, but everything else doesn't really fit the size or purpose. If a ship of that size and capabilities in the traditional Imperial aesthetic was introduced, I could see being convinced that would be a better option. But without it, the practicality of what the Blastboat could give to the Empire outweighs that it doesn't look a lot like other imperial ships. Plus, this is still a military vessel, unlike the modified fraighters and the like you see Scum and Rebels using.
Additionally, there is a reasonable chance Mara Jade could be a pilot, and I'd sacrifice all kinds of aesthetic for that.
Nobody puts Skippy in the corner
Don't let the thread die!
SAVE THE BLASTBOAT!
Save the dream...
The Blastboat cometh!
(Disclaimer: Not mine. Just found it while looking for inspirational pictures to post.)

After 11 waves of TIE variants, the StarWing is a godsend. The only other hope is a new Imperial Shuttle variant.
How 'bout if they paint it a nice shade of Imperial blue-gray?

Yes!!! It's off to @melminiatures ' store for me! Just got my YV-929 and Snowspeeder I needed for my custom X-Wing and Edge of the Empire campaign, and they are excellent! Mel, you guys have Blastboats, right?
Edited by KieransiThe Skipray would actually be a good candidate for the first Tri-faction ship.
Make it primarily an Imperial ship, but give Rebels and Scum each 1-2 pilots(including generics) with different upgrade bars from the Empire.

But yeah I'm down with the blastboat. It blasts, it boats, it's solid. I want it to be a flexible platform where I can run two as support or kit one out to IG-2000/Shadow Caster levels.

I do like the idea of the different factions having different versions of the Blastboat.

maybe the "miniature" is what is plural...

As in he makes things small, and then shrinks them again??
I hate this ship like I hate the Gunboat. I can't stand the design of either. I'll be happy if we never see this in the game.

Hopefully, the longer this thread gets, the more likely we'll see the Blastboat in the game.
Thanks for posting, and have a great day.

Just my opinion, not a vendetta. If FFG do read this, I've added my 2 cents.

no, as in, he makes more than one smaller-than-life model, also called a 'miniature'.
