Heroes of Scarif pack; Rebellions are built on hope. What needs to be in it?

There have been so many new canon pilots for both X-Wings and Y-Wings that we seriously need a boost here.

Aside from Blue Squadron...

Evaan Verlaine (Y-Wing)

Ezra (Y-Wing/A-Wing)

Sabine (Y-Wing/A-Wing)

Hera (X-Wing/A-Wing)

Now do we need Sabine/Rebels cast in more ships? Yes, yes we do. I will not rest until I can create a game mode where you must only use Sabine and not repeat ships.

General mustache guy of blue squadron. His card art has to be a screen grab of his face with the mustache or im not buying it

I feel like if you're having trouble telling the difference between the T-70 model and the T-65 model because of the colors, an optometrist may be where you need to head next.

I'd be down for the Blue Squadron X-Wing, Y-Wing and U-Wing pilots, K-2SO pilot and crew, and the missing Yavin Y-Wing pilots.

I would make it similar to the "Most Wanted" pack.

1 X-Wing and 2 TIE Strikers

Give additional cardboard for the U-Wing and Normal Tie Fighters


Then Release a new Epic Hammerhead with a Y-Wing included.

I'd much prefer a Rogue One or Rogue Squadron pack........but.........if the only way to get an x-wing fix is to get a Rebels pack, I'll take it.

2. I'd originally wanted some Blue Squadron Y-wing repaints but I don't remember actually seeing any Blue Squadron Y-wings in Rogue One, only Gold. However, I would like some new Y-wing pilot cards with EPTs or an upgrade card that adds EPT's to Y-wings. Also, Y-wings need a crew slot unless you're running the BTL title and maybe a Tech slot?

3. With the lack of Blue Squad Y-wings, I'm thinking a Blue Squadron U-Wing with some new upgrade cards. Would love to see some form of Door Gunner Ion Cannon upgrade. Yeah, they were in Atmosphere in Rogue One but Bistan does have a space suite on with helmet off. He wears that suit for a reason so maybe he can have the helmet on and use the door Ion gun outside atmosphere.

4. Another option is for the pack to be a joint pack. Maybe the T-65 for the Rebels and a Tie Reaper for the Empire?

Those are my thoughts. What are yours? What did I miss or get wrong?

We know FFG pays attention to this forum. The Gunboat is the perfect example. Let's keep posts about Scarif going and keep the hope alive!

Yes, there is, but it's a different paint scheme. The current U-Wing is the one they took to Jedha and Eadu. If we're getting new U-Wing pilots then I'd like to see the Scarif one.

Ignoring your clever remark, it's about being able to tell them apart at a glance from 0.5-1.5m away. Color is one of the first things getting processed, guess where small details place.

Besides, hate to break it to you, but not every player is a huge Star Wars fan. Some (especially newer) players would have no idea which X-Wing is which if you gave them unpainted models ;)

Since the only current faction that needs any hope is the Empire, how about including a really competitive Imperial ship that ignores bombs and can avoid Biggs ability??

Who plays X-Wing from 1.5m away? Are there some magical barriers preventing you from getting closer?

Many of us want to see that X-Wing fix but I'm trying to wrap my hands around what exactly needs fixing.

It needs some positioning ability like barrel roll for sure. So absolutely needs barrel roll and maybe some form of boost? Got to have something else on that action bar!!!

It could use a little more customization. Maybe some new upgrade cards or ability to take multiple modifications maybe? Maybe a system slot?

It seems to be a little high on the points so maybe a refit card for negative points?

Nah just make it a super powerful jouster to be feared and respected

1 Blue Squadron U-Wing
1 TIE Reaper

I think I would rather have the Blue Squadron X-Wings as part of a small ship pack as opposed to tied in with the Hammerhead Corvette though. I can't see myself buying 6 Corvettes for them lol.
Though if it came with say Blue Ace Special mold I would be okay with that.

Also there were supposedly Green Squadron X-Wings at Scarif, and with them coming in Rebels Season 4, we might see them as well.

Biggs isn't that great!!! It's Lowrick, Selflessness and Draw their fire combined that play on Biggs ability that is the monster. I don't have a problem with it though. Out of the top 16 at Gencon, only three had Biggs in their list. So, I don't see Biggs as a reason to hold back the rest of the X-Wings from being fixed. Plus, a lot of the "Fixes", even yours in your other thread, have Barrel Roll or Boost as a fix. That's not an action that Biggs would really benefit from since Biggs like to fly in formation with other ships that CAN'T barrel roll. So those saying a fix to the X-wing will just make Biggs stronger just isn't completely true.

standing around a feet away from the table (which is the usual distance), looking at a ship at your opponent's side is around that distance (account for the angle, because your eyes are not at table level). And if you need to get closer just to see what ship your opponent's using, you're proving my point.

And yes, those are things you account for when designing a game. This stuff is hard.
