Needa on an Interdictor... crazy or brilliant?

By Battlefleet 01 Studios, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Tossing around the idea of putting Needa on a Combat Refit Interdictor replacing one of the double Contains. Worth it or no? Not really part of any one build, just wondering if it was a good or terrible idea.

It can definitely help vs long range swarms (cr90's, arqs) so if you face a lot of those go for it.

If you see more bombers (with norra) or APT, DCO officer may get you more mileage.

Wulff is also good for on demand 8 engineering points

True. Engineering team is a great way to make the Interdictor tanky as all get out.

I hope we see a card that allows you to add a turbolaser upgrade to your ship bar, I think that would really help the Interdictor and some other ships too.

Engineering team is a trap imo on the dictor. With a base of 5 you already get a token value of 3, so bumping from 8 to 9 engineering won't make much of a difference. If I put anything in that slot it's engine techs to keep up or projection experts to repair other ships

Tarkin might be good to run with an Interdictor, along with Yularen and Aresko, you could be passig tokens left and right.

That would be pretty expensive pending on what you run though.

Ya, I would go either Tarkin OR the token generating officers, you will get diminishing returns if you have both (plus it's **** expensive).

I like running mine with Motti for 11 hull or Screed for critical effects if the rest of my fleet is black dice ships like raiders or glads

I run with Tarkin and Engineering Captain on my 3-Interdictor list.

8 slicer-proof points of engineering on any turn.

Wow that is a great list

It gives the long and medium range effects, and then Scramblers covers the close range and so your opponent has another annoyance to target with the accuracies

Too bad there isn't a turbolaser upgrade on it because a Needa TRC build on an Interdictor would actually be pretty good.
