The cover art for each expansion has had a large image of the main protaginist in the centre. Reaper, Lord of Darkness & Ice Queen. So the large eagle is the eagle king. IMO.

Hopefully as a highland expansion you will be able to find some haggis, or use a set of magical bagpipes to scare away enemies with terrible wailing. Possibly a loch on the lower levels that will reveal a monster on the roll of a 1? The blurb did mention a magical river that could be hiding some kind of beastie.

It's a one time use only: you can call the spirit of Morak and he adds 6 to your strength in battle

Anyway,... the Carrions (lost file card) have the same text as the Harpies from third edition.

If the Harpies can not bring you to the Lost City, then maybe the Band of Carrions will do it.

It would be cool if it is included as a adventure card in the Highland expansion for the mainboard.

As for Carrions, I need to congratulate You, I'm completely forgot about that "card", sure would be nice, if it would appear here. You forgot about Magic Gateway though

You have a good point. The 4th R Dungeon has 3 Dungeon vaults. So it's possible that FFG will also make 3 Lost Cities spaces..

Speaking about the Icequeen, I wonder if we see some ice enemies, and snow..(afterall, it's the homeland of the Icequeen and the Eagle King

I expect a bigger castle from the Ice queen, but with a new idea, because the Ice Queen is on the mainboard..

Is there any pictures of the new corner region yet ?

I am sure that the names from the spaces from third edition mountain will make a return ( same as dungeon)

Questions for you guys:

1) Do you think the price of this expansion will be the same as the Dungeon (ie 39 bucks)

2) It says released in the Spring. Do you think they mean March or April and if so do you think they probably mean more like March rather than April or vice versa. In the past when they give release dates how have actual releases tended to go with things like this. For example, in Mutants and Masterminds rpg I can expect they will release a product about 6 weeks or so after a PDF version of that product is released. Plus Origins and Gen Con play a strong role in many companies decisions. I am guessing this product will not actually come out in Origins (ie late May/early June) time period cuz to me that is Summer.

FFG has announce the Highlands now, and it will take 2 1/2 month when it is available in the shop ( If we look to the dungeon expansion)

I it was me deploying the expansion to Talisman 'in da spring'. I would release it on 1st of April <Fool's day> adding some optional and extremely funny cards

I suppose if you combine the Highlands with the Dungeon expansion, then you get three potential endgames, so that's ok, but I just don't think the Dungeon and the Highlands expansions are very interesting by themselves.

It would be nice if FFG packaged both the Dungeon and Highlands expansions together for $60.

I agree with the Dungeon part. The Dungeon is crawling with enemies and there are less events and other cards there. The most what you can expect is a enemy..

I hope that the Highlands will do this better..

Furthermore, The Ie Queen comes from across the northern waters in this game, not from the mountains as in third edition.

I wonder if there will be snow enemies in the Highland expansion(mountains) ( maybe there is no snow at all...

I hope that the Highland expansion has no problems with card cutting,.. miss prints,.. or smudge's..

The Quality of the cards from the Frostmarch expansion was not so good..
