Even with the EK at 8/8, will people challenge him with even odds? Or wait until they have an advantage of say 2+ in combat? If they have nothing in terms of Followers/Objects, that still means they are good enough to hit the Inner Region as well, so a similar deal to the LoD, you can go for the end space of the board or go for the Crown.

It depends on what the player wants..

With a strength 7, i can try to defeat him...

But i don't know how dangerous the Highlands is.

I can't wait to get my copy of it.

killing the EK for a relic seems too much work...

But youve gotta level up somewhere. Is adventuring in the Highlands really any more work than adventuring in another region?

I was looking at the 2 alternate ending pictures from the rulebook, and i see someone who is holding a Crown and a ( black hand? who want to grab it??

Is this another Crown ending??preocupado.gif

That's my assumption. I figure it's either a printed CoC (standard) ending, or a new command spell variant, hopefully less deadly than Crown & Sceptre.

I like the trend for Crown endings - I think half to a third of the random endings should be command spells.

I don't think that it is the normal crown ending.

It's probably another variant..

But what for ending is the third ending card in the rulebook...

I hope that it is the pandora's box card..gran_risa.gif

I don't want to see too much Crown endings..

Unless the Highland deck offers really cool stuff, Dungeon is the place to be for gearing. Not only does it offer a lot better gearing up opportunities compared to the base regions, it also offers a shot at CoC, which can come about from all the gearing you do. Dungeon deck has quite a bit of stuff I'd like even if not actively gearing up, so to me, Highland deck would have to be quite a bit better than the Dungeon deck to overcome gearing + CoC possibility, since Highland only offers gearing.

Do You think that in the nearest future we can expect another Rules sheet that will release and additionally comment some of its cards? or whole "Complete Card List and its Effects Book"?

That would be cool and maybe it could include all the official artwork from every cardlengua.gif

I think we can gain a lot of gold with the Highlands

Looking at the Diamond. It can give the character 4 gold if he visit the alchemist in de citylengua.gif

I am sure that there are more special stones that can make you rich!

I look so munc forward to see this highland on my table, though I have not painted all my Frostmarch miniatures yet.

So the Hignland should be released now, but where can I buy it from ?

I live in Denmark.

I like the rogue! gran_risa.gif

Rolling a extra die to her attack score + stealing all gold + rolling 2 dices at city, village and tavern makes her awesome! demonio.gif

Sprite is also nice

Her* lengua.gif

Yeah, Rogue is definately a her (both X-Men Rogue and Talisman R4th versions gui%C3%B1o.gif ).

I just forgot about that...lengua.gif

I have edit it already.. thanks!

Hmm, Rogue in the Dungeon might be a nice combo (Highlands could work as well, will have to see the Highland deck of course). There, she'll be drawing 2+ cards in more spaces than on the Outer Region and with the Dungeon deck's higher Enemy count, she'll be facing 2+ Enemies more often, thus enabling her to roll 2d6 in combat (which is what her ability basically amounts to). Of course, Dungeon has tougher Enemies as well, so might need to boost, but probably less than other characters.

I like the Rogue.

Going to the mystic and enchantress, and rolling 2 dices there, and pick one sounds good to me.

I agree with Dam, that you actually roll 2D6 in battle or (psychic combat?).

I am wondering about her second ability. can she also fight in psychic combat?. The wording is different than the wizard etc

I would assume not. But one day their may be a way or and ending that allows you to. Just covering all bases I guess.

She has no way to attack in psychic combat, but should she defeat another char that attacks with Craft, she can take all the Gold from the attacker. Nicely timed Brainwave could see her turn a disadvantage into an advantage, or she could just be 1-2 points lower than her opponent and get a lucky roll. She also has 4 Fate, but then again, most of the psychic combatters also pack decent Fate (since they all start Evil), well, except the Dark Cultist.

ah, you are right. She can also steal it if somebody else attacks her in psychic combat.

I saw also a spell sword. add 1 to your craft.

i think that the spell sword can only work against a character if he can attack in psychic combat...

Looking at Tumbling Boulder from Highlands...

The card has change a lot.

normally it says:

A huge boulder comes crashing down. Roll a die for yourself and each follower.

Your character will lose a life on a 1-2 while a follower is crushed by the boulder and must be discarded on a roll of 1-2

____________

The Highland card says that you only lose a life if you roll a 1 and on a 2-6, it is moving clockwise and crushing everything on it's path...sad.gif

I liek the highlandone better, it can hurt those unlucky adventurers thats behind you, possably killing them. It's less harsh the the one who sprung it, but mean to those who arn't ahead of you.

The idea is very nice, but the 3th edition version sounds more dangerous.

I can always use a house rule lengua.gif

What are people thinking about the new endings.

I like the Hand of doom ending the most from the three.

Battle royal is a pvp ending again... and the eagle king ending is the same as the Ice queen.

I think we need more different endings, with new mechanics like the pandora's box

Just got finished painting the Highland miniatures.

Sprite's posture seems to suggest her saying: "Kiss my shiny-hiney!" partido_risa.gif

Also, the Rogue reminds me of the Queen of Swords.
