Yes. As long as the cardboard base and pilot cards are correct, dial and model do not matter.

Yup.

No need to buy FOUR of those ships even if you want to fly all four pilots at the same time; just need two so you can use each side of the base tiles and if not for those you could get by with only one if you just needed pilot cards.
