Guessing the song

By Darthain, in Star Wars: Armada Off-Topic

Given the rather fun time the Gencon count down was, why don't we start something of a guess the song game. If you guess it, you give the next one. It should be limited to produced music, that is beyond a local scope in order to keep the game actually going.

We'll start it off easy:

Do you still remember, December's foggy freeze, when the ice that clings in to your beard, it was screaming agony

Absolutely no idea

@GrandAdmiralCrunch you started a habit in here, GG

Is that Jethro Tull? I don't know the song name, but now I have "Fat Man" in my head. ;)

OMG JUST GOOGLED IT, HOW COULD I NOT KNOW THAT ONE

Sometimes things take on a life of their own.

It is, but which one? Hint that isn't a hint, it is on what is probably my favourite album of all time.

Figure we got running Mafia games, why not something more my speed.

Aqualung, right?

Oh Aqualung... The pedophiles song.

We had a friend in college who was always dating younger girls. We called him Aqualung. Now he's a registered sex offender. A sad story really.

well that just got even darker :D

Okay. I'll throw a softball:

All this machinery making modern music can still be open hearted. It's not so coldly charted it's merely just a question of your honesty.

Rush- The Spirit of Radio

heres a curve;

Your're really sweet.

On paper, you're the kind of girl I'd like to meet;

but look at your face, its a disgrace, your a$$ is fallin' out all over the place;

may I recommend have less hot friends who'll loan you some cash, to lose the moustache?

They'll make you look great in a comparative state,

but dont let anyone tell you, that you're not ___________________

Take the gimme and leave something probably too modern for me, excellent. Reeks of the rap music. (As I got cuious, I also say you just want to watch the world burn, might have to include rules limited to produced music to attempt to keep this moving?)

I'm a just steer this back to the initial interest, and state (which I thought was implied) keep it to music. In an ideal world some music that is at least expected to be mildly recognizable, opposed to say, youtube yugioh rap battles (what an odd world we live in). I mean heck, I'd be weary to put up bands that are bigger but never escaped Canada.

A little more difficult than the opener, but shouldn't be too bad for them 70s ears.

He told me tales, and he drank my wine
Me and my magic man kinda feelin' fine

Actually that was "Pretty on the Inside" by Ceann

Nailed it, Heep has done some fantastic work.

Okay, let's see how long this one lasts, definitely more recent than most of the songs so far

Before the story begins, is it such a sin,
For me to take what's mine, until the end of time
We were more than friends, before the story ends,
And I will take what's mine, create what
God would never design...

AX7, A little piece of heaven.

Funny, a friend was telling me about this song just this week at work, under the guise of most screwed up things he's heard.

DING DING, a winner! I love this song, you're up

I too can come further, to at least the 90s. This one might be tougher.

Show me beauty

You betcha. Images and words 25th tour soon, wife has me tickets in November.

Sorry, sorry. Distracted, thought I'd said something here, but clearly forgot...

So, an obscurity that I'm pretty sure that people will only get by searching... But for a long time, it was a personal anthem of sorts of mine (and a callsign).

"I am the living flame ... and I teach the Holy games."

Good prediction. Heh

So. . . is Googling allowed now? 'Cause that's the only way I could ever have found that:

The Answer?
