Soon. . . maybe an hour or so. I'll be popping off now to make the preparations for such a disappearance, but I do hereby promise that I shall case my vote before my head hits the pillow, so long as I am physically capable of doing so.
[MAFIA] The Wheels of Democracy ***GAME OVER***
Just now, GhostofNobodyInParticular said:It's the underlying intent. We can confirm Truthh through his actions. Your vote implies you wanted to avoid that. The only person against verifying a town is a scum. So, your action implies a scummy role. Absolutely nothing personal.
Based entirely on the concept that Truthi is trustworthy. How do you know that Truthi doesn't have something going on...i realize scum doesn't have day chat...but maybe he sees a play with the other roles available to scum...so they lynch someone...then he directs the scum team to x>y>z and still make it look good for him/them. Maybe he's taking one for the team but he's got some domino affect that gives them an #:1 ratio of killing. Ie, Truthi dies but he can take 3 townies with him. Or maybe he's got some long game in affect.
@Visovics to what end? You guys have already decided I'm scum. I could lie about my role. But I will say this, there is at least one person here who can verify me.
##unvote- for now

A claim is the best town play right now!
Looks like I'm playing D&D an hour before the night ends, but for now I'm going to

Some of what Roc is saying makes sense and could just be a new player mistake, plus I'm willing to give him some latitude as a new player. The text of his win condition also seemed legit to me.
Will reassess and get a vote in before my D&D game starts.

We've decided nothing of the sort. I'm not sure why you've latched on to me so hard. I haven't even pressed a case against you. You're acting somewhat scummy, but it's hard to tell on day one. The frustration of the pile on can cause the same behavior.
If someone can verify you, I'd sure like to hear from them.

Huh? I'm a bit lost here

The game I'm playing is "you win when all threats to the town are eliminated".
That. The phrasing there sounds authentic. Granted he could've gotten it from somewhere else, maybe, but the specific phrasing looks legit.

In truth, Truthi (weird?) i'm not.
I'm more irked at everyone who just seems to fall in line with whatever you proclaim. My issue is really nothing to do with you, and more with them.
which reminds me

Heading off to work soon. I'll be back after the deadline, so I'll see you all in the morning, Senators.

Do you really not understand why people voted for you after you voted for Truth? Surely you must after like 5 people explained it.
Yeah super not down to vote Roc today, but imp captain and pod both benefitted from the aggro getting shifted off of them.
Imp captain voted and faded away, pod voted and then continued and now pulled his counter vote.
One of these things looks scummier than the other.
Far from a solid lead but it was something that stood out to me. Maybe imp captain would want to rejoin the conversation at this point.

Saw you were stepping away cap, did you still stand by your vote?

Listen, if truthis up too something its most likely a one shotPodKill! =) hence the lack of objection!

I understand it, yes, but only from the perspective of the certainty that Truthi is what he says.
MY question, is why is everyone entrenched in that perspective. You (the impersonal "you") say it's because Truthi's offer is bulletproof and will shake out the next day. I'm asking "what if that's part of his ruse?" and still no one wants to consider there might be a long-game in play there. To be sure I don't know exactly how it would play out; I'm not that experienced at the various combinations of roles. To me that seems like herd/groupthink mentality. Or a little Truthi bromancing, if I'm being honest.
This is the quickest ease of pressure in the end of the day on someone I see since Mos Erdru, wow
I guess what everyone else feels is if it is part of his ruse, he dies for it tomorrow anyway, so what's the point in killing him now. I was literally typing the same reasoning down as Vis posted his own reasoning, and I was like yes, this makes sense. However, your wording in your win condition phrasing bought you some time, at least from me. No one else is really seeming more incriminating, so if 2100 EST rolls around and there are no better options, I think my vote may just end up where it was, but I'm willing to let you have some time to say your piece.
I gotta go pick up my dog from daycare.
I haven't claimed yet, partly because I'm still deciding if I want to play scorched earth Mafia, but partly because...something else.
But I assure you it's not just because i'm being obstinate.

Well, he says he will do in the day, you cannot fake day actions, and whatever happens, we will know by the end of day flip, so unless he bribed JJ, he is not getting away with a lie about a day action, so we can confirm him and unless he is exactly what he says, he'll hang from his circle shaped fancy senator thingy that flies and I can't remember the name

It is, but we have 4 hours and very active conversation. So long as there is an actual vote and records by which to hold people accountable, that's what we need. If we end up without a majority vote, that's a total scum win.

So Caldias, to be sure, you are telling me 100% there is no combination of role shenanigans that could go into affect at night that would allow scum to do some alpha-strike powerplay on us, and yet obfuscate Truthi's actions/alignment? If you are telling me you can make that claim 100% than I absolutely take back everything I've said.
