Fenn + Genesis + Kavil

Anyone try these 3 together yet?

Version 1 gives Kavil Engine Upgrade to blow up low hp aces and Fenn Plasma Torps to soften targets before R1 shots, Manglar keeps Genesis pts a little more reasonable but still has a bite.

Version 2 gives Kavil Vectored Thrusters and Genesis HLC to push damage through on High HP low agility stuff.

Biggest problem I see is they are all a bit fragile in the current meta and PS10 stuff will be an issue for Genesis and Fenn.

Not sure if TLT would be a better choice on Kavil than Auto Blaster turret.

Personally I don’t like ATB Kavil, I either fit him out with Dorsal or TLT (I also want to try Deadeye + Synced), in your case, I think you might be better off with TLT, because that 4 dice attack twice will probably clear tokens for Fenn's 5 dice attack, and it allows you to keep Kavil far from the fight.

I haven’t experimented much with the Pulsed Ray Shield but perhaps it's worth a try on Genesis? It is one point cheaper and "infinite".

You can still upgrade Pulsed Ray to Hull Upgrade if so desire and still have that bid. I feel that Kavil doesn't need Vectored Thrusters with TLT, if flown well, plus you don't want to load a Y-Wing too much.

These are my thoughts, hope they help.

Version 1 Fenn has plasma torps but he really likes to get into range 1 so I'd consider dropping them for something more close combat, same with flechette torps.

Seconding the idea that Kavil will get more use out of TLTs or even synched turrets than autoblaster.

So based on the feedback changed it to this:

Kavil can still BR. Genesis hopefully still can do some early game damage with HLC despite the low HP.

Guessing this list would get crushed by Nym or Miranda if they are not smoked off the table by round 2.

I like it! Just stay close to Miranda so she can't TLT and you'll be fine=:) I have horrible luck with the Protectorate SF's but really like them and want to give them another go.

I like it, just advice, try to avoid using BR on Kavil, think a round ahead before you do, and only if it will meaningful help (Unless you want to look really pro at the start of the game), the focus will help you offensively or defensively, it can make the difference, other than that, 3 ships I really like, two of them some of my favourite pilots (Fenn and Kavil, Kavil specially, love this guy) best of luck!
