Devs have checked out.

By migs6000, in X-Wing

From my viewing of the FFG stream, I feel the devs are kind of done with X-Wing.

They spent considerably more time on some of their games I've never heard of and have never seen played. Get to X-Wing, here are the new ships. Ok, bye.

No discussion of the future, nothing about the FAQ leak. For the game that is your bread and butter, I would expect something else. They just seem like they are just pushing product out because they have to.

Legion looks pretty awesome.

It does and fallout is an inst-purchase for me but just my 2 cents...

IIRC it wasn't an x-wing dev presenting it. And they didn't really go into any of the games I saw (I got on the presentation late), mostly just "here's what's coming" until it got to Legion.

I too am struggling on fallout miniature game (mophidius) versus legion. Please help me resist doing both. **** it Star Wars!

Was Armada even mentioned? That's the game that gets hosed.

Nah, they didn't need to introduce xwing the way the others do.

Legion sounds awesome, but I can't afford a double plastic crack habit.

given it's the bread and butter, they probably don't need to invest as much advertising it as they do completely new properties :P

Nope

X-wing isn't the only product FFG produces, regardless of how big a piece of their pie it is. And it's not a shiny new product, like almost everything else they discussed today. And those weren't the X-wing devs talking about anything. There's product both already announced, and newly announced today, and it's really no different than previous presentations for the game the last few years.

Be glad you're not a Netrunner player, we had to wait for our crumbs of data in the Q&A, and we've been in a news drought for months longer than is usual, despite Netrunner being about to become the first LCG to be impacted by the rotation policy FFG announced a year or two ago.

Yes - they emphasised "BIG PLANS", to be announced a not-too-distant future date

I feel they are developing to many Star Wars games. Too many eggs in different baskets. Something is gonna get left out. I felt imperial assault, armada, and xwing weren't being pushed. Definitely pushing legion and the different Star Wars card games

Legion is brand new, Destiny isn't even a year old. Of course they're going to get more attention, Legion in particular. It and X-wing Wave 12 were the only two things announced today that weren't already revealed in the last few weeks at the most recent.

X-wing has been around for 5 years now. Imperial Assault had a major expansion pack announced just over 3 months ago, so there's likely nothing new to talk about there since it isn't out yet. Armada, as someone up thread said, they said stuff is coming.

I know this. I'm just saying it's just a lot to cover. You never should spread yourself too thin it could lead to complications and competition with your own products

This was a trade show presentation. They're there to sell to stores and distributors. X-Wing is already established as a product line.

Descent 2e is in the same boat, minus the LCG bit.

100x this...

X-wing is already being carried and sold its not needed to be pushed. They have X amount of time and that time went to stuff they want to see on the shelves in stores not stuff that already is.

SSD?

No idea, although I imagine the Profundity will arrive sooner rather than later. Maybe another campaign box?

I didn't catch much of the stream, but I wasn't feeling any energy from the presentation about any of the games. Could simply have been the host and not indicative of anything.

Must resist....wife points running low.....stay on target......stay on target......

Yeah, it seems like today is about pitching Legion to people. It's a new product, see needs more time and attention. X-wing is a proven seller and while some updates on certain things would be good all around, this wasn't the place to do it.

At this point, X-wing sells itself. It's currently the best selling miniatures game on the market. It needs no introduction. Stop with "the sky is falling" posts.

I dont know the state of the game elsewhere but in my area that game is basically dead...

The top selling minis game that has more ships coming in just a few weeks for the Ep8 tie in that makes more money then FFG knows what to do with and has the possiblity of limitless ships based on the Raider being made from Thin Air along with making a version 2.0 and ace boxes to bring older ships in line like the Star Viper ..........

yup nothing else left.
