With the announcement of wave 12 today, only one question should come to mind.
What are they going to do with Target Locks now that they have used ZZ?
Will they duplicate, come up with a numeric system? We must have these answers.

AAA AAB AAC AAD AAE....
They should just duplicate. Its not like anybody uses all their target locks anyway. I stopped saving tokens after the first month.
they should just start over with A.
Most people use custom prints anyway, and if they dont they use the same 2-4 sets for every game. And im sure people who still use Omega Leader would love a replacement QQ set

Aurabesh. That would be cool.
I want them to do mixed letters, so eventually they will get to DV, QD, BD, CH, OL. So instead of people buying for new ships and upgrades, it will be for the TLs.and we can have TL letter discussions.
Edited by Mrk1984Time for numbers. Numbers don't run out.
They will just include Predator cards in all future ship releases, and replace the target lock action with more epic ship actions. ;)

I'm a sucker for Aurebesh (I can even read it) but I don't think it makes for great target locks when I see people with custom ones.
It's a lot harder to just recognize at a glance than latin letters or numbers that you're already familiar with.
I would rather have Mando'a, but that's just personal preference.
Agree with the number idea - then you can pair up your ship number with its TL number.
I've always thought the 2.0 nonsense was a bit ridiculous. Until now.
They could definitely do some mixed letter combinations or they could do A0,A1.....A8,A9, B0,B1.... etc
AB, AC, AD, AE....

That's what I did when I got my acrylic target locks. They're numbered to match the ID tombstones you put in the ship's base.

This is what they should have done when they got to Z! If they did, we would be at AZ right now, with BA available for the next wave.

It would be triples, we don't have AB target locks.
So AAA, BBB, CCC, DDD, ...
I like my QQQ target lock. Perfect for trolling.
Whenever I see the punchouts include more TLs and ship IDs, I roll my eyes. I'm sure somebody out there could brag that they flew 77 TIE fighters or needed 20 pairs of TL tokens, but I sure haven't.
Start over. The core sets already have plenty to choose from.
