this is a great guide for painting figures in general.

thin your paints, multiple thin coats is the best advice i can give anyone new to painting figures.

and my interest just vanished for this game.

You don't necessarily have to, Sorastro uses almost entirely Citadel paints in his Imperial Assault guides too but there are conversions for other paint company paint shades. But yeah, I imagine if FFG had their own paints they'd have commissioned the painting guides with the condition of using their own brand.

At the end of the day, Citadel is the paint range that's the most universally and readily available at game stores worldwide.

Rune wars was done in Army Painter, I would expect the Official Painting guides to be Army painter as well. Though, you can't really dip white well so we will see.

He makes that appear so easy ... crazy talented
