Why? You get 90 degrees less firing arc, defensively you're weaker(2 agi at 4 hull 1 shield with 2 guaranteed focuses to evade + regen is WAY better than 1 agi no mods 5 hull 3 shields), not to mention being PS 5 instead of PS 2. You're just as likely to do as much damage too, considering gunner is in play. And i doubt the dial on this thing is going to be just as bad as a Y-Wing. And if it has an EPT slot? Now you can get consistent offensive modification as well with Predator or whatever you want.

Having written what I just did, the rear arc is something I had rather glossed over. That is a significant step up over the Y-Wing.

I am, however, still grumpy that the best we can do with this ship is re-hash something we've done twice now.

Not convinced it is the best. Rebel Rau is gonna be interesting to use and there appears to be a Maul crew card that should synergize with Ezra for nasty results (an assumption, but one I feel confident about)

snap r3-a2 wasn't feasible on the ARC because it **** over everyone's pilot ability apart from Braylen. On this thing, though, it doesn't really matter because it's so dang cheap!

I'd guess 13 points, for the reasons you say. However! I can also see a unique pilot being 12 points, as you couldn't spam it.

Also also! The dial could be garbage. Or the pilot ability could be an actual hindrance. Or something along those lines.

Assuming the Phantom 2 can use the Phantom title, a 12 or 13 point PS1 pilot would also be a significant savings for a Specter build...

AP5 can be cheap because he's unique. I wonder if his ability is actual something terrible...

Do we know the Phantom 2 Title yet? It's visible but glare... According to gold squad:

  • "While you are docked, the Ghost can perform primary weapon attacks from its special firing arc. ……….. While you are docked at the end of the activation phase the Ghost may perform a free coordinate action

Don't forget the aux arc

Both the Phantom and Phantom II titles do not have ship restrictions on them.

So depending on the wording of the new ghost title, it is possible that you will be able to use either titles on either ship. The card would have to be pretty wordy to restrict the phantom 1 title to the attack shuttle and the phantom II to the new ship.

If you can use the Phantom 1 title with the new PS1 ship, that would be pretty great as you be saving 6 points or so on your Super Ghost.

wonder what Astromech it'll be.. the unique is probably C1-10P "chopper". i don't think we've seen many rebel Astromechs yet in rebels.

maybe a generic C1 model?

If they make that generic astromech some zero point soft Xwing fix, I will be seriously grumpy.

Honestly though, these last two waves have been easy on the wallet. No large bases and no really spamworthy ships.

tLJ ships may change that.
