Star Wars: Legions!

By Force Majeure, in X-Wing

If its 28mm, an AT-AT would be doable. Just only large games.

It'd be difficult, and you could do exactly *one* of them.

I don't think that's what most Star Wars fans were really looking for in a ground combat game...

My one cringe here is that I'd have to paint the Troopers white. I love white stormtroopers, but white is a PITA to get to look good. I'll just have to give my troopers some actual camo or something.

White or Gray primer > Citadel Celestra Gray all over > nuln oil or agrax earthshade in recesses to taste(for clean vs dirty appearance) > Ulthuan Gray outside recesses > highlight White Scar.

Replace Citadel colors with equivalents of whtatever paint system you like. Done.

Looks nice...

I twice rejected IA in favour of more ships for X Wing. I like how this looks more, but I am still painting my Warhammer Quest Silver Tower stuff.

I guess I will wait until more products are released and I have got a better idea about the possibilities.

I´ d imagine that my GW modular battlefield is fully compatible though. Just all those skulls though... I guess I can call it into a Sith planet... :) Or maybe they are the last remains of all those Tusken Raiders that Ani killed....

Yeah.. Painting Stormies would be easy compared to others. That Nuln Oil rocks!

A miniature game with ATATs would have to have absolutely tiny ground troops, like Flames of War level tiny. Even then they'd be pretty sizable though much more realistic from a modeling perspective.

If the average person is about an inch tall, the ATAT would be huge. I dont feel like doing the conversions but from the movie when Luke was below one he wasnt even as tall as the thing's FOOT (as in the wide flat part not the entire foot including the "ankle"). It would be rivalling the size of a Warlord Titan from Forgeworld (btw that is HUUUUUUGE)

10-15mm would have been perfect. Make one based unit an infantry squad (with multiple small figures), rather than one base one individual. You then get AT-STs or turbolaser towers as small units and AT-ATs as large, and can put small-to-large flying craft on elevated bases. 1/270 scale X-wing is almost perfect for the type of game I want.

I am all over this.

I got out of 40k a long time back, and X-Wing dragged me back into mini wargaming, but this looks pretty **** sweet.

I lost interest playing LOTR a while ago, but always liked the painting
