Given how few upgrades there are on the bar if the dial isn't terribad 2+ a "budget" ace like OL seems feasible. Or 1 or the generic/mid teir + 2 defenders/sf's

Edit: oh yeah, and there definitely going to be screams of OP. These suckers dropping harpoons, protons, or that new toy packaged with every second turn.

You give it some missiles/torpedoes. It fires them off, then next turn it slams away out of trouble and uses Advanced Slam to reload it's used torpedo/missile. And that turn it's got 3 agility effectively if it does get shot at, possibly at range 3 too.

Give him PtL so you could focus for defense that turn.

So it really depends on how the Dial is for shedding stress.

Or you just use a cannon instead and slam every other turn to reposition.

One of the titles appears to let you shoot a cannon whilst you have a weapons disabled token, which is vurry interesting

Also, what exactly will Jam do. In non-epic play?

What a god awful selection of ships! :( I'm kind of happy for Imp players who have been moaning about the gunboat for ten years or whatever, but I have zero interest in scum and the rebel ship looks terrible (appearance wise).

Where's my Battle of Scarif stuff?

Ace pack, almost certainly. Maybe an X/Y since they already did A/B. Possibly corresponding Fighter/Interceptor pack for the Imps, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

I like that the Gunboat finally finds its way to X-Wing. FINALLY!

But Empire needs a big ship that is not a clumsy shuttle so bad. I would have really liked the Rogue Shadow or Sith Infiltrator. Maybe neeeeext wave! :)

– So, coordinate on non-Epic ships is perfect for a large Imperial shuttle, right? It takes discipline, training and a strong chain of command to coordinate between ships, it's what Imperial officers do.

– For sure. But let's also give it to a small Rebel ship that belongs to a ragtag bunch of misfits.

It's actually really bad on a large ship because sacrificing an action on a ship to give an action to a less expensive ship is not a good idea (see also Esege and Shara)

Coordinate makes more sense in a crappy support shuttle where gameplay is concerned. Honestly not sure why they bothered with coordinate on the UPS without some cool tech upgrade making it a free action

It is useful during the three years it takes for it to turn around to get another shot in.

um, thats a pilot ability. if it has crew you might even be able to roll 4+ defence dice with it. if the gunboat chasis is good then they might just be trying to keep it from being an infinite ordinance jumpmaster type thing

I'm thinking they removed the circles around the cannon and (other upgrade) icon. I'm not sure about the system, but I couldnt quite get "Lose missile slot" or "Lose torpedo/missile slots" to parse.

The second part is line matching what redit is apparently saying the ability is. No guarentee there, but the blobs fit, more or less.

If two cannons and a system slot are a single point, I'm even more blown away. That's fantastic. My one concern is whether or not the cannon point cap is actually 2, since that would preclude ion cannons, which is pretty much the Gunboat's bread and butter. Ion and TBeam or Jam Beam as well is gonna be phenomenal, if the Linked Batteries is actually a mod and allows all Cannons to be fired the same turn.

Oh man the hype is still happening.

I would speculate that the point cap for FIRING WHILE SLAMMING is 2, but there's nothing stopping you from outfitting a gunboat with HLC+autoblaster, aside from wasting points.

And if the XG1 title really does add a system, Linked batteries as a system as a Bwing or brobot buff?
