TIE Advanced with Accuracy Corrector in Epic. I love 'em. They're tough. They don't mind stress. I always take 'em. Last night they were called "easy mode"
now I feel bad. I'll have to force myself not to take them next time. Oh well TIE/Ds it is then. Or do we have any other Imperial suggestions in Epic to replace my Advanceds?
I've created Epic salt
Assault missile bombers with jonus...
Good, good very good ! I happy for you
Full squadron or you mixed with others fighter ?

Well, I got totally obliterated at the Euros in team Epic by an insane Imperial Aces list. Vader, Soontir, Carnor, Tomax, Jonus, Rhymer, Mauler, Scourge, Howlrunner, Vessery and as many Black Squadron Pilots with Crackshot that could fit in the list. It was carnage.

I only ran 3! Think the frustration was I tied up 3 Zs with Cruise Missiles and Autoblaster/AC/Bomblet Nym with them keeping the Gozanti safe while my 4 Interceptors and 2 Defenders took on a CR90 and its escort.

Can I have a list ?
Now you need to buy more of them
If you want to win, and never be invited to play again, TIE/Ad with AccCor is an easy way to do it in Epic. Throw in the TIE/Bmb to fill the points. Yay, you won but now no one likes you and they all think you're a jerk.

Shove a railgun Darth alongide them;
Darth Vader - Swarm Leader, TIE/x1, Advanced Targeting Computer
The Tempests don't need to do anything but take the evade action, which Darth can then yoink to OBILTERATE ALL BEFORE HIM.

I totally Epic. That was just my "WAAC and never be invited back" list taking the OPs idea to the extreme.
And my Imperial Epic lists always have two Gozantis in them. One support, one hunter/killer.

I normally don't take Interceptors for that reason and that's why I ran them light. I kept them in the Gozanti for as long as possible and launched them against the CR90. They did OK.
Epic salt? How about 12 Tlthugs
Here's an Epic Ordinance Imp list with some new hotness....for full disclosure I havent flown it yet.

Crush them with x7s. Then go back to TIE Adv + AC.
My fav for Epic is (Red) Baron + title + Prockets + chips. Pretty tough, pretty jukey, and when they land a procket shot, extra deadly.

Imo, x7's aren't that great in epic. They are tough to kill, with no extra punch. Focus fire means one ship uses its evade and dies anyway. Or there's a traffic jam and they're left without any tokens. Easy pickings. In my experience, TIE/D's work better.

I was hesitant to use TIE/Ds but two attacks and the Ion on a huge ships they worked better than I thought and only lost 1 shield between the two if them.

Would you run them with VI or Adaptability? Or are you thinking Juke?

Cool Raider build although I think you only need one set of Thug Droids. Personally think Minemapper won't be as effective in Epic due to bigger play area but then again a lot more going on. TIE MkII on the Advanced can be good but they can run without it and still get their full attack - I'd only add it if I was taking Missiles when you need actions.

Usually run VI, but have had luck with Juke, too. I'm running 2 of each this weekend for my squadron.

As someone who doesn't epic much can someone explain why this is so awesome?

Anything in particular? Epic has a general aura of awesomeness so it's had to pick one awesome point. If it's the TIE Advanced build I mention it's just too cool that a ship rarely played in standard (aside from Vader) is now feared by my opponents to the point they've said I need to stop taking them.
Sorry- yes why does the TIE Advanced with AC do so well in Epic?
1 hour ago, Harry the Noble said:Sorry- yes why does the TIE Advanced with AC do so well in Epic?
Consistent damage with a cheap ship. Swarm is still bad *** in Epic.
And while Sasajak is right about an aura of awesomeness, i pretty much consider it an event horizon. . .there is no going back from the awesomeness of Epic in my universe !!!
