Dang, Nathan Eide is at 1106 MOV? I believe that means that he's only lost- or failed to kill- a total of 94 points worth of ships spread across 6 GAMES! What is he flying?

I think he is flying Corran Horn, Ahsoka Tano, and Biggs Darklighter. Or that's what I heard.

Corran Nym? If that's right, that MOV and result is really remarkable. That combo alway struck me as potentially v potent (including against FSR), but basically something like keeping elephants dancing on a bed of floating eggshells over a pool of sharks with laser beams strapped to their foreheads; it's all going swimmingly until you even *think* about making a mistake...

He's been playing Corran for quite some time now, I doubt he makes mistakes with him.

Being at the lower half (I like to play jank and made many mistakes today), there has been so much variety this year.

So impressive how the same people are just always up there, with different lists no less!

Nathan was always one of my favourite players, but to hear that he still flies Corran makes him seem even better!

Corran has no place in this meta and dies way too fast - plasma torps, bombs, autoblaster, Sabine, TLT, token denial, Kylo. But Nathan doesn't care and just wins with him. Really demonstrates that "git gud" has a point.

Really wonder what his list is. A 51pt Nym and a 48pt Corran maybe? Or less on Nym for a higher bid?

I have to disagree with that.

He's good against both 4SR and against sensorless Nym (double tap is almost enough to one-shot him). It is true that he requires a lot of skill though.

I suspect as much. My hypothetical Nym was with one of cluster/conner and seismic/ion. I could imagine that he took them, but a 4pt bid+inifinite bombs could be more important

Pretty sure his Nym has TLT, not ABT, based on the FB video posted of him and Heaver.

It's the same as Fair Ship Rebels v2. Fair Ship Rebels v1 was with the ARC instead of the auzituck, v2 is the already infamous Biggs Lowrisky

Corran isn't actually too bad in this meta, you just have to pair him with another, equally-scary threat.

I don't know. He's at 95. position, that looks pretty bad to me. Of the 20 times he was played since wave 11 dropped, only 5 were storechamp top10s. I personally played against one of them. Compared to 99times rebel Nym, or 195 scumNym. And if you filter for storechamps entirely, then he was played just 11 times compared to 161 scumNyms. That points to "objectively bad in this meta" for me.

But that does not mean that Nathan can't be successful with him, of course! It just means that almost nobody wanted to try

What is the big advantage of Genius on Rebel Nym? IIRC, it means Nym can drop a Bomblet after moving - which means he will be in range of it. At this point he can:

a) use his ability to prevent it from blowing (which is really no different than dropping it next turn - except it would allow him to drop it this turn AND drop another one next turn).

b) let it blow and take damage along with the nearby enemy ships.

Scum Nym makes more sense, as he is immune to friendly bombs.

What am I missing?
