Generic only league

Afternoon all, our club is having a generic ship only league for the next few months and I need to come up with a list... suggestions please! I'm confident that no one is enough of an ahole to bring triple jumps, so triple defenders is probably the worst I'll face.

list one:

5xGreen Squadron pilot with test pilot, adaptability, crackshot, refit, autothrusters - hard to kill, fun to fly, struggles against high agility opponents.

List two:

3xRed Squadron veteran with primed Thrusters, targeting astromech, intensity, integrated Astro and six points to spend on torps, current thought is a seismic torp each - hits hard as they t-roll behind an opponent. Should pound the damage out but pretty vulnerable. Could give them vectored Thrusters to make them more dodgy...

List three:

Mandalorean Merc with HLC, K4, mindlink, 2xvoncord dawn ace with title, autothrusters, mindlink. - lots of damage potential, have custom paint jobs so it'll look cool. Manoeuvrable ships to keep up with Defenders.

i think realistically it's one or three, but I wondered if anyone out there had any cool archetypes I hadn't considered...

2 Gamma squad Vet bombers with deadeye, concussion missiles, EM, and chips.

Blow something off the board. You should be pushing a lot of damage with the bomber, and since it's a generics tournament, PS 5 should put you pretty high up there. You could switch out deadeye for VI. Than they'll definitely move last and shoot first. Than the deci attacks, and you can vader crits in as needed. You will probably be taking a ship off the board first turn. And if you run the deci in front of the bombers, it's a juicier target and keeps the bombers alive longer

No Vader as it's a unique upgrade, but like the though... Deci is a powerful ship here.

oh, no unique upgrades either?

ok. That would take a lot of the power out of the deci, without guaranteed crits. I'll have to think about that than.

Glaive squadron defender - TIE/D, predator, tractor beam

Glaive squadron defender - TIE/D, predator, ion cannon

scimitar squad bomber - concussion missiles, EM, chips.

the first glaive can tractor and take away evade rolls, or move into better position, predator will let the defenders re-roll on both attacks, and saves an action. It's got alot of control, and damage output.

What about red squadron veterans (T-70)?

@Magnus Grendel did a great post a few months back on heavy swarms of generics: https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/249631-heavy-swarms/ Basically squads of 5 ships, all with 3 red dice and enough health/agility to not instantly melt.

Personally I'd go:

2 x Cartel Spacers with Heavy Scyk and Mangler Cannons

2 x Cartel Marauders (sadly still waiting on the Vaksai title, so no upgrades)

1 x Zealous Recruit

15 is a healthy number of red dice. :)

At ps5 and 6 there isnt a lot of generic ships that will shoot first. I just ran 2 sigmas and it was a lot of fun.

This seems pretty fun! You could be 'boring' and give them all mindlink, but I like the idea of 4 high ps ships w/ prs and a reposition ability. Combining the ions and the fearlessness or mindlink prockets should help delete an opposing threat before it does much damage.
