Aye, mine is the 1/2700 kit. Definitely needed to be glued. Gorilla glue saved me bigtime with this thing!

I obviously got the snap tite version. Still looks pretty good on the table though. When I get home I'll sign up for imgur.. .
Ok, signed up, uploaded images, and can't get them ported over. . .ah, finally!!

Make an album, and copy the album's url straight into your post.
Oh yay!!

Yes it is. I am currently working on a Cylon Base Star to be a space station. It's a 25 year old Revell kit that I have never gotten to. The Battlestar is from Mobius.

Awesome!
One last one, then I'm off to Gen Con!

Hey @Refugeanoth. What are your plans for energy management for this? I noticed that two sections have an energy rating of 10 each. So, for example, when you move will each section get the indicated energy or do you split it up between the two or something? And when you spend energy from a section will there be restrictions on where it can be spent?
I'm starting to work up ship stats for mine. I'm definately going to borrow heavily from your ideas but I think I'm going to go with three sections - Fore, Engineering (Aft), and Command (Mid-section that includes both Bridge and Hangar features). My ship is due to be delivered tomorrow. I'll post pics and stats when it's ready, but it could be a few weeks before I have anything to post.
Thanks for all the inspiration.

Functionally, I'm treating the two sections as though they were both their own separate ships for the purposes of energy gain, so both sections will receive energy when the ship moves and only be able to use that energy on the section in front of it. However, there will be some cards I intend to make that are single-use and allow the ship to share energy across all sections until the end of the turn. The main reason for having 4 sections is to utilize the base system I'm implementing on this with lessons learned from the Omen's base.
Sticking a couple of these together lengthwise gives you a solid base with multiple pre-made mounting holes for posts and all you have to do is put your strange eons base printouts directly into the middle slot!

Sounds really cool. I'd like to see your upgrade cards when they're ready too if you don't mind.
I like your Fore section ability. I'm thinking about tweaking it to something like; when attacking with your primary weapon you may spend a TL token to change focus results to hits. That will give the Star Destroyer a way to use focus results but they will have to decide which is better, re-roll or focus.
I also like your Bridge ability a lot. It reminds me of Star Wars Armada redirect. I'm totally going to use that too. I'm not sure if it will be a Bridge ability or maybe a Star Destroyer only crew or team or system upgrade.
I hope you don't mind me mining your creativity for ideas.

Aye, no problem at all. I dig it when ideas get shared. Helps to bounce around concepts to see what sticks and admittedly, this thing is made to be a high level threat to Irregular squadron, whose damage output and durability is such that they need threats like this to keep them even remotely challenged. I wouldn't suspect a standard squadron or even epics could pose much of a threat to it while it's packing 160 hitpoints with as much damage output as it has on top of the crazy abilities. Bringing it down is going to be a team effort with the squadron, supporting squadrons and friendly epics.
Hey @Refugeanoth, @Darth Meanie. Here is a preview pic of my work-in-progress.
I do have another quick question - how did you guys attach the ship to the base/post?

I bought 2 Huge base stands from Litko and arranged them in a T shape. If you glue the edges of the bases together, the ship will just set atop the tripod of pegs.
Looks awesome!

Thanks. I didn't think about just resting it on a tri-pod, I've been trying to figure out how to magnetize it on posts. I'm making a custom ship base that is similar to the regular epic ship base so movement will be very similar to regular epic ship movement but I suppose that doesn't mean the posts have to be the same. Thanks again.

Looks fantastic so far! I'm using 3 wooden dowels, with two in the back and one forward center, connected to some oak paneling which in turn is connected to some industrial strength velcro strips that connect to the hull so it can be removed from the stand if need be. Very similar setup to what I did with the Omen.

Velcro was a clever idea. I'm still thinking of using magnets but I have to come up some kind of Y bracket and a way to attach it to the hull.
Here's my finished Star Destroyer. I'm calling it the Preemptive Strike - an Anti-Starfighter Destroyer. I'll start a new post with pictures and details.

For future reference, this is the Snap-Tite version at 1/4000 scale. It measures 15.75" long. It does not dwarf a corvette as above. Now I need to score a 1/2700 Zvezda version. A warning to others to go big or go home.
