In the early days of the Rebellion and later as individual worlds were being liberated from the failing grip of the Empire and its remnants, Cracken's Raiders were instrumental in delivering special forces and supplies to beleaguered Alliance worlds as well as running courier missions carrying vital Alliance personnel or communications.
Based on the model of the late Commander Sato and his Phoenix Cell, the Raiders used speed over hitting power to achieve there missions, although the upgraded corvettes they used were quite capable of taking the fight to an enemy.
Even the make up of the Raider's squadron craft was tailored towards its goal of infiltration or lightning attacks with a hasty withdrawal.
It remains to be seen whether the Raiders will continue to court success or whether they will eventually follow the legendary Sato to a heroic grave in the icy confines of space....

Why not Trc's for a guaranteed double hit?

The slaved turrets on all of your ships makes me sad... DTT would give you about the same effect (one added dice), is one point cheaper, and wouldn't limit you to one attack per ship

DTT's replace a die, still leaving 2 dice, this list will be at range and thus likely to lose one die to an evade. Playing the dice gods odds with Slaved.

TRC's have a similar issue in that an evade will be used on them and they are now exhaust on use...

This does of course assume evades on enemy ships, but they are a fair bet.

Yet if you are able to double arc, with concentrate fire, you could get them to burn the evade in one round. Even with the nerf, Trc's or even Dtt's are better. Also you could flak if you have to instead of choosing to flak or shoot a ship.
