I love it :)

Those look great. Love the chevrons on the fuselage that correspond with the wing markings!

Nice! I've listened to all of the episodes for this on the Shuttle Tydirium Podcast! If anyone hasn't listened to it, get over there! It's got some really great production value!

I expect to hear great things about the game/campaign after GenCon!

The guys need to get Jim a new microphone! ;) It sounds like he's 10 feet away.

That aside, these are great paint jobs! Two questions though: 1) how in the world do you do the candy striping on the lasers? 2) is there a reason for the striping? I mean historically in our world, is there an analog that the original model makers borrowed from?

I may have to borrow this color scheme. All my T-65s and rebel Z-95s already have yellow noses.

First off; full disclosure- I didn't paint these minis, my brother did. He has some serious miniature painting talent, obviously. I'm not sure how he did the candy striping.

I an am pretty sure that some x wings in episode 4 had similar markings, though. Look at Luke's' x wing, I think it has blue spiral striping on the lasers.

I think I have a solution for producing the candy striping:

Wrap a 1 mm wide (or smaller) strip of painters tape around the canon, leaving a gap between the edges of the tape as it wraps around. Then paint the exposed parts the color of the stripe, and finally unwrap the tape, leaving behind a stripe.

Should have thought of this sooner

I'll ask my brother how he did it; there's a good chance that he did something like that
