So After using the Arquitens with no upgrades during the weekend and wrapped at how they performed... I am looking at doing a list using these ships as the core.
3-4 and the leftovers on something. Commanders maybe Vader or Screed? Someone who can maximise the Red Dice and their damage output.

Arquitens Conga Line - How to?
Moff JJ is a good choice to allow you to go speed 3 and make a critical 2 click turn at the speed 1 mark.
On one of your Arq, you can run Needa and TRC to get an extra evade token.

TBH I would drop the raider to two gozantis and put RBD on whichever Arq Vader is on.
you want to be keeping at red range skirting sideways and the raider conflicts with that theme pretty heavily (plus it's much easier to kill).
you could also consider dropping to slaved turrets for 4 points saved per arq considering you are planning to "conga line" them anyway and will most likely not be firing out of both side arcs.
Just my two cents
I am worried about facing say an ISD or a heavy hitter; worried the Arquitens may not have the bulk needed.
I did look at maybe including a Gladiator for something which can swoop in and hit hard.

You really need something to activate those fighters or they are just fish in a barrel. Two Gozantis seem like a must to me. You can drop one arq and get them + demolisher on the Gladiator. And with Vader I think you can drop the OEs?

The Intel Officers seem like they would add a nice extra bit of punch. You could drop Zertik for a shuttle. Helps with those token based defense objectives and escort isn't really necessary here since you want them shooting at Ciena or Morna anyway.

Good point. I was trying to decide between Zertik and a Shuttle. You are right that the shuttle brings more utility both for Relay and Strategic.

It was a very narrow loss... but the damage was done; the sheer amont of firepower this list has is ridiculous!
Questions are deployment... and speed. I wen at Speed 3 and it was ok. I did not use the Flotillas properly. The CAP did very well, holding its own.
Start off slowly so that you can maximize time at red range. With a token and a dial you can jump from 1 to 3 to speed away and put distance between you and the enemy again.
personally i would drop the slaved turrets for QBT's which save you 3 points, i'd upgrade the Gozanti to Assault so it can sling a red die to plink away at shields and i'd switch Ciena to Jonus, if your cruisers start doing CF commands with jonus next to a ship, that accuracy and 5 dice each will melt even an MC80

So I've been flying Arq Gun lines for awhile and I really love the damage they can dish out. Deployment is critical as I've lost some nasty matches when setting them out there in a bad way. I did a short video on deployment, speed and opening maneuvers for a batrep video a while back. The fleet build isn't exactly what you're working with but the concepts with the Arquitens are very similar. Check it out and let me know if it is helpful at all (time stamp 3:57 to 9:53):
From the other thread talking about arquitens I just tried nav teams with tarkin on command variants and its changed the ship completely for me. It makes it so much easier to do what the thread topic is trying to do.
Going to offer a list idea from my buddy Norsehound.
3 Arquitens, Darth Vader commander, 1-2 Gozantis, and Captain Jonus with squadron escorts and a jumpmaster. Fly your Arqs sideways to the incoming list, then use Vader and Jonus to reroll all non-damage and flip over Accuracy results as necessary. Combine with a mild fighter screen and use Gozantis to activate your squads ia Strategic. You can do quite a bit of damage if you fly smart.
Ok so.. have had 2 games with this list.
Now both games were good and close, though some problems seems to have arisen.
The Arquitens rely so much on Vader that when he dies... the firepower advantage evapourates. Also my opponent managed to close the distance and just charged pell-mell into close range and proceeded to obliterate the fleet. I was able to do damage but not enough was pushing through.
CAP was fine. Disposable Cap's hurt this fleet as well.
I am able to do damage but just not fast enough late game. So I was thinking of maybe trying something like Intel Officers or XI7 Turbolasers to help focus fire and have the damage bleed through. With the XI7's especially I can focus on just locking down Brace and make the redirect redundant somewhat. Looking at maybe trying Tarkin to help handball tokens like NAV and concentrate fire tokens to speed up the reaction time of the fleet and leave the command dials for more important orders.
Looking at trying using the Demolisher as well as a ship to help deter ships from trying to get too close and have something which can work in tandem with the Arquitens to kill ships late in the game.

Tarkin is great on Arqs, especially with Engine Techs - Tarkin does tokens for the ET every turn, allowing for some amazingly effective speed four turns, whilst orders can permanently be concentrate fire (bar needing engineering of course). 4 X 4 red broadsides zipping about the place is nasty.
Incredibly hard to pin down - a friend of mine at my local club shredded a fair few of my fleets with it till my MC30s finally caught the buggers,

Going to persevere with this list in general. My mate reckons there is not alot of merit to the Arquitens so we shall see tomorrow.
He is running a pair of MC80 Battlecruisers with Gunnery Teams, Leading Shots, XI7 and XX-9's and Engine Techs. Mon Karren is his Flagship with Dodonna leading the fleet. He has a pair of Flotaillas and Tycho and Shara as the CAP.
