Feral Force User

By X10, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

I made an NPC that I'd like to turn into a PC at some point as I enjoyed the concept. She is essentially Newt from "Aliens" but with force powers. So a young woman who was marooned on an extremely hostile alien planet as a girl. As an NPC I had her use Sense and Enhance to find prey and close in on it. Then Brawl + Pressure Point (Thinly justified in that she knew the local wildlife's anatomy) to incapacitate a target. Finally she would use (Heal)/Harm to drain its lifeforce.

However when you try to build a character with those abilities you run into trouble right away. It seems pretty tough to spread points between both Brawn and Intellect. Cunning seems like it fits the concept better but Heal/harm is based on Intellect. Originally her core concept was essentially a Feral Force Vampire but I'm having trouble representing any of that with classes.

I'm guessing she should start as a Marauder then pick up FSExile or FSEmergent and Harm? Is there a way to do this without gimping myself and still be a feral human that feeds off others?

(Would be normal starting character rules set after ROTJ.)

Maybe keep brawn down, and use enhance to boost your brawl roll? That way you could easily get a 3-X-3/4-3-X-X characteristic setup which should meet your needs. Maybe start in Warden, it has some great talents to grab ahold of stuff.

There is also the Seeker career, which is essentially built around the "wilderness warrior" archetype.

Tramp's right, Seeker:Hunter is probable what you want, with Executioner being a worth looking at as a follow on.

The trick with Force users (most characters, but FU's especially) as you have noticed, is not to overdo it. Take your concept and dial it back to the minimum, and look at progression over starting. Unlike other systems you don't need to be maxed to be useful.
