Agreed. The carrier should be for all tie models.

Well, in theory the Defender and the Phantom wouldn't need to be; they're already hyperspace capable by themselves.

What I wish is that you could mix-and-match. According to Wookiepedia, at least, a common loadout for a Gozanti-class was 3 TIE Fighters and a TIE Bomber, which makes sense for something like a pirate-hunting task force.

Yeah. It should just be Errata'd to say "may carry up to 4 TIEs of any kind and in any combination."

First things first. Epic is almost exclusively for casual play. Do what you want with it, as long as your opponents agree.

As for justification to change the rules: There are depictions in Star Wars Rebels of Gozanti's with mixed TIE squads.

Need isn't really the issue for those TIE variants. The Defender and Phantom are both configured in ways that would physically prevent them from using the same docking clamps fashion as other TIE's. The Defender's top panel is in the way of the cockpit hatch. The Phantom's solar panel is in the way, and the shape of the cockpit is different from every other TIE.

True and to be fair, most people I play with lets the Gozanti carry whatever.

Maybe equip them with Autoblaster turrets? The Gozanti brings 'em in close, they drop and rip through an enemy formation.

My friends and I agreed that if it can carry any mix of TIEs. We're still going with the rule of "if it CAN dock with it, it's valid", but debating on letting TIE Bombers be proxied on like the Phantom on the Ghost.

Forget the Aggressors, Tie Adv. prototype can't go on the Gozanti because it doesn't have Advance spelled out...

Because epic play needs its own FAQ to clarify these things. It's just some bookkeeping that should be done, but isn't. I'd play the Raider titles RAI, not RAW.

The Striker is awesome. So is the canon TIE Reaper. (Just making sure we're not talking about the the fan-created Reaper I've seen in custom cards and ship suggestion threads because that one is dumb.) FFG should have done the Scimitar instead of the Punisher (since they weren't going to do the Gunboat.)

It technically can't. But RAI is clear in that case.

It should just be any TIE with attack value of 2
