Wes, Jess and Biggs

Hi Guys

Posted last week about packing in but after some great advice on here I flew a new list yesterday.

It also had Captain Rex in but I'd rather drop him so I can fly the 3 X-wings.

What upgrades would you put on Wes, Jess and Biggs?

How would you fly them?

If in formation which one?

Wes I'd fly with VI and R3-A2 (IA), PS10 stress/strip shot can be devastating.

Biggs has his cement shoes of R4-D6 and IA.

Jess works great with M9-G8, IA or AT. I'd put PA on too.

That only weighs in at 90 points though. You could add R2-D2 to Biggs and VT to Wes to up the points a bit. Or really for the extra points swap out Jess with Snap or Nien.

AutoThrusters and Pattern Analyzer.

You'll need to purchase a Starviper Expansion and Heroes of the Resistance for them, respectively. Or Ebay.

Another dumb question but how does Pattern Analyzer combo work in this list ?

Pattern Analyzer is useful any time you do a k-turn or t-roll by allowing you to boost, focus, or target lock before getting that stress. It's pretty handy for 2 points :)

So for this 3X list it might come up if you k-turn the group, bit more likely it comes in to play after Biggs gets knocked out.

If you don't have the cards and your gaming group isn't particular about the cards then you can make the squad at:

As for a suggestion, you can fit in 3 X-Wings and Rex for something like:

[33PT] Wes Janson
R5-P9
Selflessness
Integrated Astromech

[26PT] Biggs Darklighter
R4-D6
Integrated Astromech

[27PT] Jess Pava
R3-A2
Integrated Astromech

[14PT] Captain Rex

Placed R3-A2 on Jess Pava because they can re-roll die if they didn't clear the stress based on their ability. Wes can absorb and regen damage Biggs would obtain. Right now there aren't as many PS 9+ builds out there as before. Though Wes's ability won't be as effective at times when you do face lists containing PS9+. You can definitely change things around for the upgrades to your preference as well. In any event, you'll be limited to formation flying when you use Biggs. I think Rex helps by mitigating damage by reduction of attack value.
