adaptive ailerons

By thoracicpork, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Is Adaptive Ailerons part of the movement - i.e. does the striker lose it's action if it bumps when executing the adaptive ailerons? I think it does because it says maneuver on the card. Just wanting a second (3rd, 4th) opinion. Thx

Not if you overlap another ship. According to the Adaptive Ailerons entry in page 15 of the FAQ.

"If a ship equipped with Adaptive Ailerons overlaps another ship as part of this additional maneuver, it does not skip its 'Perform Action' step."

roger that. thank you. suppose I should re read the faq page again ;-)

You only skip your Perform Action step when you overlap as part of your planned manoeuvre, not from the Adaptive Aileron manoeuvre.
