I've just started a HotAC campaign - which is a perfect opportunity to paint some ships, and get a lot more individualistic than I'd normally paint minis. So, allow me to introduce Chimera Squadron!

Bantha is our escort. He got the first fancy-imperial-ship kill, an interceptor.

Nerf can't aim, but has enough explosives to make up for it.

Wampa... Doesn't know an obscure imperial pilot 'stole' his name, and we don't have the heart to tell him. We just mark the C&D letters 'unknown at this rebel base', and stuff them back in the box.

Does anyone else have any cool custom ships for HotAC? I've really enjoyed going wild on these ships, part of me is hoping for character death so I can do another one. Show me your rebel scum!

They're TIE Bomber ordnance pods.

Not anywhere close to all of them, but here's a few I've done for my pilots.

Thanks! The ARC-X1 was the first ship I ever modded and she's my personal ship in our campaign

I've lucked into a second campaign, so meet Skippy! Skippy has done two missions, been shot down twice, and earned a grand total of 1xp. Gonna need to start adding some battle damage to this X, I think.

What did you use for glue to glue the pods/engines on?

I like the paint schemes. I've done something similar, with a 6 'squad' color base for each of my A/B/X/Y wings. Going from red, through blue, green, silver, gold to grey...

There are mentions of ships not in this post... are they in other posts?

They sound interesting, now I want to see them!

Wow, Tau Parts so often make up our Mod extra bits. I used to think I was one of a very few that was using bits from old Tau extras I had. Apparently Not. Nice work!
