Unicorn conflict character, Shugenja, Water, Cavalry,

Reaction: After this character enters play - look at a facedown province.

It does seem like they're throwing the names around at random on some of these.

What a great little mook for the Unicorn. Shugenja and Cavalry too? This guy or gal does so much for such a small cost.

Just noticed that it's only 1 influence. I might have to try out a Unicorn test splash of three of them and two captive audience (three in a keeper deck)

You know, splash Unicorn into Phoenix, just for the Shugenja...

I mean, they ARE a wayfinder... the title is kind of self explanatory. This just distinguishes them from a traditional scout since they're a shugenja. Can't watch the video for the art, but I really hope they're holding a dowsing rod.

Mulligan for Iuchi Wayfinder is a thing.

My Phoenix with Unicorn madness gets another piece!

Classic hypocrisy from the masters of the art.

Or a statement of protest against the party line. That's certainly how I intend to treat it.

I think it will be tried by a lot of clans that have a couple of Shugenja, but need at least one more to really make including the spells that require a Shugenja. Of course, if say, Dragon includes the Wayfinder, then they can't use Phoenix clan spells. Ah, well, there's always Cloud the Mind.

Also shown in this video:

- The 'sacrifice this character to destroy an attachment' version of Miya Mystic is confirmed to be the printed version.

- Mirumoto Prodigy version with 2 military (instead of 3) is confirmed to be the printed version. I figured that would be the case, and it's still a solid character, but bleh.

I think the reasoning he was going with though is to boost our shugenja numbers for Supernatural Storm. The event itself is free, and Wayfinder for just 1 fate makes a cheap +1/+1 boost to it, on top of its own ability and stats. Really anything that lets my spam shugenja to boost that event's bonus is going to make me happy.

On the review I suspect new players would take up to two hours. Give it a couple of months and standard games would more likely be 45 mins to an hour...

Yup.

So far, the first game or two when I'm teaching someone the game, it can take 90-100 minutes (but then again I'm not a very good teacher, despite teaching a lot of people a lot of games starting back in 1996).

When you have two people playing the game that know the rules and the cards fairly well, most games are under an hour, and some are over in less than 40 minutes.

An actually splashablecard out of Unicorn... MMMMHHHH and its Shugenja!

As for the video: it was nice, if superficial. One thing I didn't agree it games taking so long as the guy says. While I haven't played any actual game yet, I'd say a regular game of two players knowing their decks would be way faster than that, like 20-30 minutes at most.

20 is a bit generous for any LCG, but 30 is realistic, assuming neither deck is geared for the long game.

Timestamps? I glanced through the video but didn't see Prodigy anywhere.

Lol, okay, it's official, I'm blind. For whatever reason the artwork upside down just didn't look right to me.

That said, I'm really unexcited for a 2/2 for 2 that wants to attack alone.
