Noob rules questions

Hi all

Started playing Destiny today and got 12 boosters

So I have few questions regarding rules now

1 Swiftness (139) what's use of this card ? I don't understand how this card can be useful.

2 Resolve (140) -as I understand I can't use Action if I have 0 cards in hand?

3 Royal Guard (12)- Guardian - can I ask opponents to resolve damage dice with resource requirement if opponent doesn't have any resources?

Can I ask to resolve all similar type attack dice (modification and not) against Royal Guard?

By "cannot play Blue abilities" card means ability card or effect from the blue ability card?

4 Loth-cat and mouse - can I use it if I don't have any dice?

1) Swiftness gives your next card ambush and has ambush in itself. Basically you play it to then be able to play another card and still be able to take another action in the same turn. If you combo it with a card like We Have Them Now, you can fix the dice to damage and resolve them before your opponent can react, all thanks to the Ambush given by Swiftness.

2) Resolve requires you to discard a card from hand to get its benefit.

3) Guardian does not resolve the die, it removes the die and then applies damage equal to its value. You can use Guardian keyword to remove a die with a resource cost (it does not force opponent to use the resource) or a modifier since you are removing the die and not resolving it.

You cannot play blue abilities on the Guard. You can, however, resolve a blue ability from a different character, targeting the Guard.

Swiftness basically gives you the ability to take two more actions, after playing it and paying the resource.

Guardian removes the die and your character takes the damage. So no they aren't forced to pay for it. Unless your sure another character would be killed by it, I'd say make them cough up the resource to resolve it. Guardian is best used to take away a black die side that would otherwise been used with another modifier die.

Cannot play blue abilities, means you cannot play that card on that character. There are ways around it with cards like the Cargo Hold Battlefield.

Loth, nope, you have to have a die in your pool to be removed. This is best saved for when you have rolled junk and your opponent hasnt.

Can I use Kylo Ren(starter) ability 2 times in a row in one activation ( resolving 2 similar Special dices )?

This ability resolves one at the time or both at the same time (showing 2 different cards or if lucky same card 2 times)?

Palpatine uses his ability any time he resolves a die. Take a resource, they choose 2 damage on their characters. Since you asked about guardian before, if someone guardians his damage die, he loses the ability to deal the 2 extra.

If you rolled 2 specials with Kylo, you can resolve them both at the same time, your next turn. You'd then pull one card from your opponent, they'd deal that damage (if possible)... Then they would shuffle the card back into their hand and do it again.

If you had a mind probe or force throw special in the pool, you could resolve them along with Kylo's special. Can be quite nasty when multiple specials are showing!

Why next turn and not on die Resolve?

I meant, roll him in...next turn/action you can resolve them together.

No, you kill the character. They are defeated and out for the game. So you only want to use that on a mostly dead character or if activating another character again can win you the game.
