Questions I'd ask at the Inflight Q&A

By ViscerothSWG, in X-Wing

If the inflight report was sports, it'd probably be the nfl draft... so for those of us in Detroit it's basically the superbowl of x-wing. :D

Were I attending, I'd hope to get a question into the Q&A portion.

Most years I want to ask things like, "can we get some more swg ships?", or "how awesome is it to play, right?"

But this year I'd ask things like:

Would you please release card packs to update old outdated and useless pilots and upgrade cards? (I want all my game components to be useful and right now some just aren't.)

Would you please use the faq and eratta to balance, boost, and fix cards that aren't useful and those that are too useful, and do so in a timely fashion quarterly? (I want variety at tournaments and for no cards/abilities to be seen as useless or mandatory when trying to win.)

Would you please create then uphold standards for OP including hardline punishment for cheaters? (Intentional draw was the worst, and they got that fix correct, but they've a long way to go.)

Are you developing x-wing 2.0 already or what are your thoughts on it? (I'd rather 1.0 be fixed, but if they don't want to fix it then it's getting close to time.)

What would you ask, if you could ask something?

Didn't you steal this idea from Full Thrust? Is the question I would ask FFG.

Your list really only has one question in it. The first 3 are requests which they can't really agree to on the spot. The only two responses they could reasonably give are "we are looking into that" or "we will look into that."

That being said, those are the sorts of subjects I'd cover as well.

The real question to ask is why the Empire can't have nice things? Direct damage kills 3 hp real easy, and most everything else was nerfed with Palp/Defenders.

When are you going to release a campaign set?

Or "no were not planning on that" because it's been specifically stated multiple times that card packs are not going to be a thing in this game. ever.

Yeah. Fair. I wouldn't suggest card packs. I'd phrase it more like:

As the game grows, there's an ever increasing list of pilots and upgrades that are under-powered or obsolete in the competitive environment. Do you have a plan to bring those up to the level of other cards? If so, what would your preferred method be?

It addresses the issue that card packs would solve, without turning it into a binary yes/no card pack answer.

Do you ever intent to have something other than a system open on the west coast? (No nationals or etc. higher on this side.)

Obviously Alaska needs a system open next year

I'd love card packs to update the old ships. Barring that, as FFG seems loathe to release just cards, I'd be satisfied with a set along the lines of Most Wanted. Give it a Y-wing and an X-wing (or some other ship) and updates for the several ships that need to be modernized. Rinse and repeat for Imperials. Honestly, I'd gladly take on the cost of another couple models in an "upgrade" kit like that for use in Epic, etc... anyways.

I would ask why it's called Sabine's Tie Fighter? Why isn't Ezra a pilot?

These sound more like statements wrapped up in a demand, rather than questions.

Because maybe Ezra gave it to her, in a attempt at flirting, and since she has a penchant for painting purloined imperial paraphernalia?

I'd take that answer
