Yes, Frank, I would probably have a different experience of an OP mechanic if it was delivered by Luke Skywalker in an X-Wing or Darth Vader in his personal TIE, rather than some ****** flying a toilet seat. Perception!
They inadvertently admit FFG's reluctance to release card packs is holding back ships/pilots that need a boost in power. There's no need to wait for an excuse to re-paint a ship when the cards are ultimately determine the pilots and stats.
I wasn't impressed at all; guess I expected something quite different. Hummmmm....

wow.... so... I'm not sure what to think...
"And because we cant deliver content to all ships at once." Ummmm.... yes, yes you can...
"we cant fix the e-wing, but you have Corran!" ... sooo.... you KNOW the rest suck, but its all fine?
Where would I find rest of the video?
Wow indeed.
That was disappointing to hear.
You don't need to release new paintjobs to fix old ships. An effective way of buffing minor ships is to make ship specific upgrades (ie. squadron cards) that buff abilities but are only playable with 2 or more of that ship type in a squad, or shoot, what's wrong even with ps-limited buffs.
It just feels like they've abandoned the old ships that aren't up to snuff, and they won't be touched again. That's disappointing.

Everything is awesome ! Got it ? ![]()
You expect to see th old ship again with a small buff to play with it ? Forget it and take this Op Scum Ship you never see in the movie or this rebel wookie you only see 4 sec ! ![]()
At least if you can't bring back the old ship, bring the Clone War era !
Thank god Epic game is close to the Star wars I know....

I refuse to believe the designers cant comprehend the fixes random players see immediately. either issue revised pilot cards as card packs, errata Squad point costs through the site via faq, or release a "most wanted" style pack with ships as well as additional titles, pilots, upgrades, or revised dials to fix older ships.
how cool would fix packs named after the original trilogy be? "A new hope" fixes Xwings and Ywings. then "Empire strikes back" fixes Firespray and basic ties, etc. there are countless solutions, they just need to pick one
Once again, you seem to ignore the business side realities. They won't release stuff without a model. Card packs aren't coming.

I KNOW RIGHT!!!
WHATS SAH MATTAH YOU GUYS?!
YOU ALL OBVIOUSLY KNOW HOW TO FIX THE THING... SO SHUT UP AND DO IT... ALREADY!!!

This is what happens when Disney owns the IP and wants a cut of every little thing you do.
I also play Guild Ball and they have rules that have changed but all the rules and cards are online for you to print.
They can't release fixed cards because then they are afraid nobody is going to purchase the figures. They can't add rule changes to reprints because that probably requires who knows what approvals or the manufacture may then see that as a new part number and require additional expense. So, they keep releasing new models because that is their only option effecting screwing older models anyway.

Which is funny because that's not a good excuse. "People won't buy the models!" doesn't work since you still have to have the actual model+stand to play the game.
If anything, refusing to fix a model's rules ensures people won't buy the model. They'll hear how T65 xwings are bad, and they'll never buy a T65 pack ever. They'll buy the original core set for Biggs and that's it.
But if you put out a card pack which fixes the T65, suddenly you'll see those T65 packs fly off the shelf. Everybody who has a T65 will buy the new box. Everybody who didn't have a T65 will buy both the T65 box and the card pack that fixes it.
Or at the very least, release a new T65 pack. Call it Xwing pack 2. So you have 2 SKUs, both with ships(each painted slightly differently) but with a different set of pilots and upgrade cards.
Can't say I'm disappointed since this interview just confirmed what I tought (and feared) about the way this game is now handled by ffg.
Now is the time for a community-led xwing 2.0!

I love how every greedy move a Star Wars related company makes is somehow Disney's fault.

Not necessarily greed.
I think Hasbro is breathing behind FFG's necks, wanting to catch them in a breach of their legal agreement that somehow divides the Star Wars board game cake between that giant and little FFG.
If "Card packs aren't gonna happen" it's because some weird lawyer paper somewhere, not because Alex Davy wants to build his own Scrooge McDuck money swimming pool.
Edited by AzrapseDid the Devs just admit that they can't save the game/ is beyond saving?
where and when?

Blue Squadron X-Wing repaint?
Gray Squadron Y-Wing repaint?
Battle of Scarif Expac??
Jango Fett's Slave I repaint?
Phoenix Squadron repaint?
Prototype B-Wing repaint?
They had excuses, opportunities and time. It just isn't going to happen any time soon, for whatever reason.
Edited by Darth MeanieI'd be shocked if a Rogue One-based box with some bumps to X and Y wings isn't in the offing near term. There's been enough development time since the Rogue One release to get one out. So many pilots ...

YUP YUP... which again is why I just make my own FIXES.

EXCEPT for the millions of people who LOVE STAR WARS... they buy a ton of stuff unlike cheap-***-gamers.
Always remember what we do and say here means jack-a-boo-dicklies to the REAL WORLD... WE AIN'T REAL!
Thousands opposed to Millions... Hel-nah!
YOU BOYZ SHOULD KNOW DAT BY NOW!

This is the thing I wish they'd done instead of Aces packs. Instead of packaging multiple ships together you might not want both of, just release a TIE Interceptor II or TIE Defender II that comes with 2 of the title card and the new pilots and a different paint job.
