Discovered I have to skip Nationals this year, but not the end of the world. Wouldn't know what to fly anyway. X-Wing is still a lot of fun so not all bad.

i actually wish i had 2 nights i could play xwing instead of 1.
Sadly by the time i get to Sparta Games in Omaha on the weekday it'd be like 7PM already so thats a nogo and except on wednesday or for a tournament xwing doesnt exist around Lincoln lol
IS VERY GOOD...
I showed a childhood friend who returned to the country for his sisters wedding the game today.
He liked flying Vader with his 2 wingmen against my dancing Poe-lite and his wingman, even though he lost in the absolute final volley. Playing something other then 100pts is a really good way to refresh.

Agreed, however I think FFG stance has cultivated some of that negativity. The Nerrfatas in the NerF.A.Q well just that. All Nerfs and no Buffs. So instead of finding something that could be used to be better against the meta they just nerf (almost)everything that was in top cut. Nerfs are inherently negative so there is the environment set by FFG OP.
Thus the senior community (podcasters, playtesters, moderators) all follow suit to single out the top cut and instead of finding what will beat it (or what could be buffed to beat it), the discussion is how it could be nerfed.
In Business communications (and marketing) there is something called negative communications. Which is why many marketing letters try to spin a bad thing into a positive thing. Now some might look at it as dishonest or manipulative but there is a point and a useful tool (when a company is actually looking out for their customers). So with nerf erratas there should also be buff erratas. It is simple as that and FFG might find the community in a less hostile environment.

The other half of the problem is that FFG did not expect the jerk-power-game-crowd to be so ridiculous with the recent maximus-i-must-win-a-mus stuff. I am sure that FFG is over this crap gamer stuff so now they just kill it off when enough people scream.
This is why I stopped caring at all about the faqs because they come from a bad place in this game's public life.
I like my best fun stuff to remain at home... nice and clean.
