Which faction do you like better right now and why?

Happy Friday! So this is when you post 'em. . .

I prefer the Rebs, and always will, because of the MC30c Torpedo Frigate. Love that ship. . . THE. BEST. Unless I'm facing it.

Imps baby because I proudly serve the legitimate government. I'm overwhelmingly opposed to some group of terrorists **** bent on reinstating a corrupt system of rule supported by a group of religious fanatics. The days of the Jedi stealing babies and leading slave armies against the mostly non-human worlds seeking their freedom from a system that had failed them is long over. Had the Emperor not stepped in against the Jedi and the Senate who knows what kind of horrific retribution would have befallen those poor souls who had dared to speak out and defy the theocratic oppression that was the Galactic Republic. The Emperor may not be perfect but he is right and true and just and will lead us all to a brighter safer galaxy. I will proudly burn upon the bridge of my star destroyer before fighting beside a group of traitorous scum. May Palpatine rule forever and his glory extend to galaxies far, far away!

This sounds like something along the lines of what my few Imperial RPG characters would think.

Rebels for me for the same reason I prefer the rebels in the Rebellion and Empire at War PC games. Namely I like their fleet makeup much more then i do the Imperial fleet. Now if FFG ever converts the Imperial Active class Frigates mentioned in one of the RPG sourcebooks, or the Imperial Razor class Frigates mentioned in one of the canon novels to Armada I might build an Imperial fleet. Until then I'll be happily blasting holes in Star Destroyers with my MC30Cs, Nebulon-Bs, and Peltas

In terms of faction right now, I think the Imps got the best of Wave VI and post-FAQ. I can make a lot greater variety of viable Imperial lists than before.

In terms of personal preference, Imps all the way - stand and fight you cowards!

I would like to give my reb's a run out some time.... but most of the guys who play at my local club only do rebs so its the Imperials for me to stop blue on blue!

Rebels!

So many people in my local gaming group like to play Rebels. So I became the natural OpFor.

Lots and lots of triangles!

I'm enjoying the increased viability of both fighters and VSDs on the imperial front, but I'm having a hard time shaking my Mc30 love right now. (They're just so mean).

I'd have to say Imperials.

I played both and decided who to play each game -literally- by coin flip. Though I was always most interested aesthetically in Mon Cal designs

Then the ISD came out and everybody had their OMGodz!!1!1!! TEH ISD CAN HAS MY ATTENSUN!!1!1!1!1! Between just being an apparent Armada hipster and finally getting my Home One, I slid into primarily Rebel.

Empire. I'm sure Demo is has an amazingly strong back carrying the rest of my fleet to victory.

And I really love the Vic II.

I was a faction flip-flopper for a long time, but whenever I would go Rebels, everyone brought Rebels. When I switched to Imperial, well, everyone else did as well. So I stopped trying to just shake up the mirror match and play something I like instead.

I'm pretty much a dedicated Imperial player now. I have always liked the look of the ISD and recent upgrades have just pushed it into super sweet territory. I can play with a few aces, deploy 16 TIE fighter squads, a mix, dual ISDs, whatever! It's great!

Doesn't mean I won't play Rebels again, but I am working towards getting good at one list, so for the time being, it's Imperials all the way.

I am primarily a Rebel player. I fell in love with the MC30 at first sight. When the Liberty dropped in Wave 4, I was smitten all over again...

I think they're Dornean Gunships.

From a Vanity on the Table Perspective, it easier to look cool flying the same limited # of Imperial ships because it makes sense thematically for the military industrial complex of the Empire, whereas Rebels look better the more ragtag mismatched you can get. We're getting close, but give it 1 or 2 more waves of ships, & I think a diverse Rebel Fleet will look so great you won't want to do anything else, especially with their ability to make a big list with cheapos.

But for now, 5 Kittens looks better than Five Nebulons ,or 3 Victorys makes more sense thematically than 3 AFMKIIs. (or the million other combos this board is dedicated to;)

PS. Let get those Dornean Gunships made all ready FF to fill out them Rebel Lists even more.

Both. But since Wave 6 was released I find Imps sliiiightly more enjoyable. maybe it's just because of all the new cool stuff though.
