3po vs R4-B11

By HanScottFirst, in X-Wing Rules Questions

So. went to the wiki and saw the FAQ they had about C-3po and Flight Instructor, and would presume the same precedent with the following interaction:

Defender guesses 0 with C-3po, rolls an (eyeball), and thus adds an (evade) result (so, adds a green die with an evade on it).

Attacker now modifies defense dice, so spends target lock with R4-B11 to make the defender reroll the die with the evade result.

Now the Defender would modify the dice (spend evade, spend focus, etc.)

Correct. 3PO comes into effect when you roll the dice.

Who the **** is R4-B11? Where is this imaginary card from?

Salvaged Astromech from most Wanted.

Oh. I don't even see it in the x wing builder.

Nevermind. I no see that Salvaged Astromech is it's own type category.

Sunny Bounder would be the same; because it's an effect that triggers off rolling the dice (rather than being part of the 'modify dice step'), the extra result is 'there' by the time you get to the opponent's opportunity to modify your dice, meaning it can be Zuckus-ed, R4-B11-ed, sensor jammered, juked, etc, by your oppoenent.
