The idea behind this is to deal 2-6 auto-damage a turn. It's pretty disgusting and probably would not be anywhere close to fun to play or play against. Lets got NPE!!! But hey, fight fire with fire right...

So what to do with the remaining 4 points? Engine upgrade on the Ghost? some fancy crew? Upgrade to Chop and put on Boshek?

FCS is better than accuracy corrector if you're running the Phantom - that way your primary shot also gets decent modification. Seeing as that also saves you a point, I'd upgrade to Chopper and put Boshek and Zeb on him so he can bump and then blast too.

Horton Salm can get a little slimmer too, you already get blank rerolls so ditch expertise for VI (save 3 points) and just focus each turn. I would then not see the need for Vectored Thrusters as you'll be focusing with your action each turn. Horton + TLT at PS10 is disgustingly good. Plus - this way - you get an additional FIVE points to sink into your VCX-100/Attack Shuttle.

A Y-Wing is fast enough to run away from most ships and maintain R2-3 TLT attacks without the need for Vectored Thrusters...

Hi,

Was testing Ghost with autoblaster turret and accurancy corrector, got it also with Intel Agent and Engine Upgrade. Problem is that even with those upgrades this ship is not able to keep target in range 1 (or at least I wasnt).

Best regards,

Pelzak

I really like the idea of a Biggs-less Ghost build, but I would change a couple of things to your list, I'd do the modifications to Horton as suggested by ZealuxMyr, giving you 5 extra points to spend, that with the 4 you already had I'd first add Engine Upgrade, which allows you for extra important mobility. I would add Rey crew which will allow you to boost focus, switch Acuracy corrector to FCS, 5 dice with target lock focus is pretty mean, maybe more than just 2 unblockable ones, and I'd upgrade do chopper, giving you pilot skill 4 over Jumps, which coupled with EU, allows you to boost into Range 1 so you don't get torp'd. Chopper is also good because of the stress, and has ghost as 0 agility, sometimes you'll want to force bumps to avoid being attacked by that ship all together, and chopper stresses them afterwards. This will leave you with two points that you can spend on Horton or the ghost as you wish, I would use those two points to put Jan Ors on the ghost, which with rey allows you to have 2 evades per turn, or give horton an evade.

Sorry about the long post, hope this helps.

Ghost has simply too low low PS to be effective with ABT even with his large base..

Too bad Zeb's already piloting the Shuttle for the double-tap.

PS10 is nice, but "just Focus each turn" only modifies one TLT shot. Vectored Thrusters makes this ship super mobile while maintaining full offensive mods. As for the Y-Wing being fast enough to outrun anything. No. Just no.

Y-Wing doesn't have to outrun anything, it just has to keep things at Range 2-3. The combination of calculated maneuver choices and moving after PS9 aces (so they can't reposition into Range 1 without a large degree of guess work) provides the insurance you need to make that happen.

If Horton needs more than 1 focus your red dice are hating you something fierce. Two 3 dice attacks with blank die rerolls and 1 focus token should more than suffice, provided what you're attacking has equal or fewer defense dice. I don't often fly Y-Wings, but when I do I fly Horton with VI & TLT. The rest of time time I fly imperials, now that I can have TLTs on my imperials (with Ruthlessness no less): bye bye Y-Wing! :P

Ruthlesness is savage in the new meta. I got beat up by a double tapping Vessary which annihilated my A-Wing squad... I should have known better... but I thought if I could snap/juke him to death I'd be okay.... and I would have been good if it wasn't for that one evade roll (gave out 5 damage with 3 snap jukes)
