A gunsmith can verify at night if the person it investigated has a gun, roles that have guns include all scum, cop, FBI agent, vigilante, PGO, and so own. Millers don't have guns, since they are pro-town, and are only a misleading role to cop roles, so they are clean to gunsmiths
One major exception is a Serial Killer, which generally does NOT have a gun and show clean to a gunsmith.

I get the whole Miller thing...how it's townie and how it might be scummy. So, do I believe what JJ says about being townie? I'm not sure. He's got some support here, so who among them is credible and who isn't? I'm going to have to see a bit more conversation before I make up my mind.

I can assure you it did not. I have nothing to hide here, and I won't be making the mistakes now that I made then because of my noobness. You can trust me, if you are a townie in this game. If you are scum, I can understand why you would move against me. You remember my "novel" near the end of my first game. You know that I'm quite deliberate in my analysis of who I think is town and who I think is scum. You know I caught hints that were subtlety dropped, like yours, Doc. The townies here will need my abilities if we are to succeed.
