Konstantine Killbox

By TallGiraffe, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Okay here is my August 5th Store Championship list. It is composed of 2 Victory II class star destroyers for concentrated fire and 2 Gozantis for activation padding. Valen Rudor and 4 VT-49 Decimators are there to Tar pit enemy squadrons. Dengar provides movement if needed and extra counter. Intel will counter the tarpit however so be aware of that. Valen locks down the fighters, and the decimators have to be targets thanks to Valen's ability.

Now for this list, the ideal situation is that you stall combat til the 4th round. VSDs are tough enough to survive one or two rounds of engagement but not prolonged exposure. Ideally you want to fortress in a corner to prevent flanking if able. Konstantine will help proc Quad battery turrets and mess up enemy movement. He is very important if you are facing squadron heavy fleets where they are doing nothing but squadron commands. Make them ram you or slow them down to keep the enemy in the killbox. Your initial barrages should target activation fodder if able or an hardened target such as Avenger. Now I have not played an Avenger list yet with this list, however if I were to play it, I would be really bold as to drop to speed 0 at medium range to avoid the close range area especially if it is an ISD-I. For ISD-IIs well that is pretty tough to handle, use squadrons wisely.

If by 'tar pit' you mean to engange and prevent their movement, then perhaps Decimators are not the best choice due to their 'Heavy' Keyword? :o

That's what Valen Rudor is for.

How did you like your squad kit out?

I see - but that assumes that all enemy squadrons are in a single group that they can be engaged by a single squadron. I'm not opposed to the idea but it probably requires some work to pull off :)

On a side note, Valen is not Snipe-proof, so there are ways to circumvent a single squadron capable of engaging.

Hits hard honestly. Especially the counter 2.

Would love to see someone, anyone, bring e-wings to the table. Snipe has seldom been a worry for tables in our area.

You don't need to snag all the squadrons. Only most of them. Then the decimators kill them and move on to the next.

I guess it's only my local meta that has witnessed eight E-Wings with Flight Controllers >_>

Would love to try to play against the list though. Seems fun :)

Yeah if people are running that then you definitely need a plan for dealing with snipe.
