Of course there is.

There's a whole section of the customer service page dedicated to Rules questions.

https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/contact/rules/

People always expect other people to do it, rather than asking themselves ... Which, honestly, is the best way to not only get an answer for yourself, but highlight things for an FAQ, since that is the very definition of "frequently"

I just asked them. It's the weekend so I don't expect a reply any time soon but if and when I do get a response I will be sure to post it.

Response times vary from 10 weeks to 22 months.

My longest was almost 2 years.

Ordinarily, answers are only given by one person at FFG for Star Wars Armada. He also happens to be fairly busy with his other duties. So its just a matter of waiting... SOmetimes, answers happen in Weeks, othertimes, its much longer... Like my Hyperspace Assault question, which was also lost in the Asmodee Changeover, where it went from a Pool of people answering to One.

Oh yeah X Wing, where the ship the game is named after is seldom seen, the FAQ is almost longer than the rules and a lot of games contain so many obscure Scum and Villiany and Rebel ships they bare little or no resemblance to Star Wars whatsoever! Its either a generic space game or a collectable card game with a Star Wars skin but it sure doesn't look anything like the film I saw in 1977!

I actually believe the designer may possibly have intended ECMs to not work against Sloane but frankly nothing is going to change my opinion that it isn't what the rules say and to be fair I completely accept that others who have the opposite view aren't going to change their views either.

How do we resolve it? Is there any facility to simply ask FFG?

Agreed on Xwing, I loved it when it came out, but now it's bloody unplayable.

i think an email has been sent already to FFG about this. If not, we will have to wait for a FAQ.

Yeah me too. It's just a generic space game now and often you have to buy big ships you don't need just to get the "must have" cards. I managed to get autothrusters cheap but no way was I going to buy a big ship I would never use just to get the Palatine card. I drew the line there and stopped collecting. The current dominance of S and V ships that seem to have little or no connection to Star Wars confirmed to me that I made the right decision. When you need a flow chart to do an attack and the FAQ is almost as long as the rules it's got a bit silly. Besides Armada is simply a better game IMO.
