A-Wings are amazing. I only stopped flying them for a brief moment to go upto Corran. now that Corran is dead again I'm back to A-Wings and tearing up the board with speed and predictability (not a typo). Aside from bombs and autoblaster, I'm very happy with my A-Wings.... that stupid autoblaster needs to go straight to **** tho.
A wings 2 good?

I put him in every rebel list I make! Before intensity, I tried so many different things to get him a second focus. But now the Jake fix has arrived!

I also have Jake in every list, but I'm not convinced by Intensity on him, at all.
IMO he requires optional repositioning with a focus more than required repositioning+token stack. Or in other words: not doing a reposition with Intensity is too expensive as it costs you a token. And he needs to be able to spend 2 tokens, so he can't recharge enough.
PTL only has the downside of the stress, but that's not too bad with green 2s.

To quote Aladdin "you're only in trouble if you get caught [in arc]" which you can avoid by being ps9, locking in weird maneuvers, and getting repositions.

Well yeah. But let's directly compare them.
Intensity allows 1-4 actions, depending on what they are. PTL allows 3 actions in many combinations
4 actions with Intensity is only Focus, reposition, Focus, reposition. But you don't want to spend the second focus, otherwise you won't get the option (and threat!) of double repositions!
3 actions with Intensity are Focus, reposition, evade/focus. Probably my most frequently used action sequence. But again, you don't want to spend one of the tokens for the same reason.
3 actions with PTL are focus, reposition and third anything from evade, TL or boost
again, the only downside is the stress. But intensity never allows you to get only focus evade, or focus TL, or anything with TL. So you voluntarily reduce your offense on a 2 attack ship

Lol! I always call him Jake (from state farm) too.
We all know jake is a top tier pilot, but I started this thread to encourage discussion and use of generics as no one appreciates the little guys without that ever important bullet in front.

GSP has been my goto since I started playing. I don't know where I would be without the littleguy.
How do some people say that its all nerfs and no buffs?
You pay for buffs, via Vets expansions and the like, that's all. You didn't hink their business model would be to give buffs away for free did you? There's money to be made selling repaints...
Nerfs are always free. No one is going to pay for them... ![]()
A wings are cool. But I have never had trouble killing them. Even the Snap Shot ones are annoying at best. 2 hull 2 shields on a ship that needs range 1 to do much damage though isn't long for the world.
Is it bad that I mainly bought the Scurgg so I could run 4 x Dead/Snap/Cruise GSP's?
A-Wings forever!
And GUNBOATS!!

Don't forget it is Juke + Snap. You are right, they die a bit easy, thats why they are not OP. I love flying them in pairs. Block with the lead, and have his wingman aimed for a Snap.
