Scum list needed

Hi All,

Im looking for strong tournament list for scums. So far got list that won Worlds 2017 by Justin Phua and tripple Jumpmaster by Marcel Menzano (maybe I misspelled his name) but Im looking for other options. Lets assume that I can get any cards I want and its not constraing.

Any suggestions?

Was thinking about 4 of those:

Kihraxz Fighter: Black Sun Ace (25)
Guidance Chips (0)
Munitions Failsafe (0)
Vaksai (0)
Deadeye (0)
Cruise Missiles (2)
Black Market Slicer Tools (0)

But after initial round it may be difficult fight.

I have had good success with a couple of scum list in a league play. The key to both of these lists is Mindlink and knowing how to plan your activation phase to keep your red and green moves in the correct order.

List 1 went 5-2

  • N'Dru, Lone Wolf, Cluster Missiles, Guidance Chips, Glitterstims
  • Tanarii Point Veteran, Attanni Mindlink, Heavy Scyk, Hull upgrade, Tractor Beam
  • Tanarii Point Veteran, Attanni Mindlink, Heavy Scyk, Hull upgrade, Flechett Cannon
  • Tanarii Point Veteran, Attanni Mindlink, Heavy Scyk, Hull upgrade, Ion Cannon

List 2 went 8-1 including winning the end of season tournament:

  • Talonbane Cobra, Attanni Mindlink, Vectored Thrusters, Black Market Slicer Tools
  • Kavil, Attanni Mindlink, Vectored Thrusters, Unhinged, Dorsal Turret
  • 4-LOM, Attanni Mindlink, Mist Hunter, Tractor beam, Outlaw Tech, Electronic Baffle, Hull Upgrade, Black Market Slicer Tools

If you switched the Deadeyes to Mindlink, you may have a little tougher time setting up the Target Locks, but you will almost always have focus tokens so when you do set up the Missile shots you will have full modifications. It will also help you have betted mods on your shots after the ordnance is gone. Also, when I ran 4-LOM I thought his ability to pass a stress to an enemy ship would help activate the Slicer tools, but in those 9 matches I think I only ever activated the Tools 3 times - and did not roll a damage on any of those. So without a way to ensure your opponent will have a lot of stress tokens I would look at something else for the illicit slot, and with missiles boats, that would be Scavenger Crane. Here is how I would kit out the list:

  • Black Sun Ace, Attanni Mindlink, Vaksai, Scavenger Crane, Guidance Chips, Munitions Failsafe, Vectored Thrusters, XX-23 S-Thread Tracers
  • Black Sun Ace, Attanni Mindlink, Vaksai, Scavenger Crane, Guidance Chips, Munitions Failsafe, Vectored Thrusters, Cruise Missiles
  • Black Sun Ace, Attanni Mindlink, Vaksai, Scavenger Crane, Guidance Chips, Munitions Failsafe, Vectored Thrusters, Cruise Missiles
  • Tansarii Point Veteran, Attanni Mindlink, Heavy Scyk, Tractor Beam

You still have all the same PS 5. The Scyk dial is very similar so staying in formation is no problem. Then all can barrel roll to block, arc dodge, control range, etc. and the 1 hard turn followed by a barrel roll is a great move for keeping things in your sights. You fire the Tracers and Tractor first to set up some very powerful shots with the cruise missiles (or put a ship on a rock). And the scavenger cranes can all activate from ANY ship destroyed - enemy or friendly - in range so recharging the missiles will help keep the fire power up through the match. The thing about the Mindlink is that once the first ship passes a token to everyone else, it opens up all their other actions. If the Scyk is going to take fire, grab an evade to go with the focus. If the Cruise Black Suns already have their focus, they can Lock or Barrel Roll to better set up the shots.

When the Scum aces come out I will have my Third Kihraxz and I planned on running almost this exact list.

@Boom Owl I'm looking for something I will win tournament ;) thx for idea, I will give it a try in casual game.

Edit: overall challange I see is that after playing dual/tripple jumpmasters anything else looks kind of weak :)

If you're just netlisting, go to listjuggler meta analyzer for most successful squads since wave 11 released.

I wouldn't play anything that includes Attani or torpedo Jumpmasters until the next FAQ is released.

There has been leaked FAQ content that has a lot of credibility that it will be official soon. Included are limiting Attanni to 2 ships per squad and removing certain upgrade slots from Jumpmasters.

So depend on when you are planing to play and how "official" the matches will be, you may want to consider this as you list build.

Innovation is around Cloacking device which you start first round and then use Cikatro Vizago to replace it for something else. This way Palob can stay clocked without the risk of decloacking and can get cloaser to use his ability (still its only 4 evade dice so can still die).

But above is prone to MindJump Nerf so thinking ahead... what about Bumpmasters? Are they still valid after MindJump Nerf? I feel that with bombs becoming popular now it may not work well.

As a side note, the Dengar Nym build I used to win still perfectly win if the weirdest errata I've ever seen in anygame get out... You just replace Extra Munition for Scavenger Crane.

With UBoat and Paratani less good, the two "worst match up" are no more.

Why not replace VI on Nym with Adaptability to have both on PS 9 and add unhinged to Dengar (or some other astro)?

Unhinged is already on Dengar. I forgot to put that. Also, might as well staple VI to Nym. PS 10 is too good.

As for that list that you posted a link for, unhinged on Dengar without K4 isn't as good as having VI on Nym.

Having Nym move after nearly any other ship is major for the Bomblet. Also, in mirror match, you need to move last and most people use VI on Nym.

And as said by Tortugatron, you don't need Unhinged without K4. And no other droid are good at 1.

The 99 points init bid is also nice to make sure you move last.

Thining to replace AC on Nym to Advanced Sensors to allow before the move repositioning to drop bomb in right place.

Glitterstim and Cruise Missile are kind of list fillers for now but can be swapped.

Both Nym and Boba got PS 10.
